26 January 2025 We arrived at the Renaissance after a weekend at the Maha Kumbh Mela, where we travelled on a path of a divine pilgrimage and experienced an uplifting dip in the sangam (confluence of three holy rivers), and were quite happy to settle down in our usual room at the hotel when we were informed by the front desk that we had been upgraded to the Presidential suite by the front desk manager Saksham Wahi. Oh! Boy! Was that a treat! An absolutely outstanding experience. Equally outstanding and exquisite was the Awadhi buffet at the Zaffran restaurant where Master Chef Suraj hand picked and selected morsels of delightful dishes, which he sent to our table. All told - our experience was nothing short of a five star rating which was only exceeded by the excellent / exceptional service we received at the hotel entrance, front desk, Zaffran and L14 restaurants.

13 January 2025 We arrived at the Renaissance Lucknow somewhat worse for wear after a long, tiring day, only to be greeted by the staff with warm smiles, customary namastes, and a quick rundown of the Marriott points we'd earned. The front desk manager, Saksham Wahi, was polished, efficient, and articulate, and welcomed us with the same room we had two years ago on the same day, marking our anniversary.

The service from both the front desk and bellhop was swift and attentive. A flask of hot masala tea was delivered to our room, followed by a dozen red roses and a delicious chocolate cake.

No other Bonvoy property, anywhere in the world, matches this level of service.

The spacious, modern, and immaculate room offered a stunning view of the Ambedkar Memorial Park. The executive lounge also exceeded expectations, with excellent drinks and hors d'oeuvres offered complimentary.

Breakfast was outstanding, featuring a huge variety of both Indian and Western dishes. The desserts were to die for, and we received exceptional attention from Aranya and Rubaida.

January 2023 Renaissance Lucknow was a treat - we had a gorgeous suite overlooking the Ambedkar park. The service in the restaurant and lounge was marvelous - we loved the breakfasts. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional. House keeping was great as they made it a point of instantaneously changing the mattress which was sagging. It was our 42nd wedding anniversary and the staff at the hotel somehow caught wind, there was no end to the celebrations all throughout the day and they made it a point of informing the Taj - a neighboring hotel which is where we went for dinner and we were treated to the best table, service...
