Hotel Manglam — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

I booked a room here for my parents and on arrival they showed them a room to stay. For some reason I asked my parents to confirm first showing them the booking and that they’re not being mistaken for some other guests and as I suspected they said ki no there’s no booking of that sort on ₹600 per night and that here each night is ₹1500 .They misdirected my parents saying “Aage jake right m koi mangalam hotel h waha shayad booking h apki “ . My parents tried looking for the same while carrying all their luggage by themselves and then after roaming cluelessly for about half an hour in rickshaw , the rickshaw wala only finally said “Sir we all know of this one mangalam . There are no other hotel mangalam here” so the rickshaw wala deopped them again here. This time i called the number provided by oyo on their website and asked him about whatever this is going on . He said “ Nhi nhi apke parents sahi jagah gye the ….aap waha jaake bol dena Rishabh ji ne booking li h toh samajh jayenge . And after a lot of mess then only they accepted our booking and let my parents stay. Hilariously they were again showed the same room but this time we were charged 600 only instead of 1500 because we booked from oyo beforehand . Usually, hotels are more expensive is no touristic cities and this is the case with Mangalam Hotel. I had a spacious and light room with fan and a/c, decent bathroom with hot water (even if no need in this season) and average wifi connectivity for 2400 Rs per night that is incredibly overprices, compared to better hotels I stayed in India this year and previous years. ||||The room was not so clean : the bed linen is not cleaned regularly, there was hair everywhere in room & bathroom and an empty bottle left under the bed … The room service staff is really kind. The food is excellent and very good value. The reception staff is also friendly and professional except on the last day when they tried to make me pay half day (1200 Rs) to stay from noon to 2.00 pm in my room before my train. Rooms : same like 5 years back. no change. housekeeping needs improvement. bed covers, pillow covers badly need a replacement. ||||Pickup services : Worst. they have a tie up with an outside taxi driver who picks you up from airport or railway station. never seen such a rude driver at a tourist spot like lucknow||||Food : very tasty, reasonably priced and decent quantity. whatever we ordered through room service, was served within minutes and was very tasty. ||||Front office : Check in was through. same was check out. front office manager was really helpful and tried to help whenever we needed. ||||Plenty of transport options available outside. you may book a cab through front desk but again you will get the same rude driver.||||good only if you get a discounted deal through some...
