A popular eatery situated on Aminabad Road, and I must say the claims of serving 'the best of taste' is quite accurate. However, my overall experience was marred by a few drawbacks that prevented me from giving it a higher rating.
The chole khasta and chole puri are indeed delicious and are cooked to perfection. The flavors are rich and authentic.
However, the eatery's operating hours are extremely limited, which can be frustrating for those who want to visit at a more leisurely pace. Additionally, the surrounding area is quite messy, with trash and debris scattered about. This lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance is a major turn-off.
To make matters worse, the queue at Durga Khasta Corner can be ridiculously long, especially during peak hours. Be prepared to wait for at least 20-30 minutes before you can place your order.
A major improvement is required in terms of hygiene and cleanliness.
Despite these drawbacks, I would still recommend Durga Khasta Corner to foodies who are willing to brave the crowds and messy surroundings. The food is truly exceptional, and the prices are very reasonable.
If you're a patient foodie who can overlook the drawbacks, Durga Khasta Corner is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for the crowds and messy surroundings, and plan your visit...
Read moreDurga Khasta Corner is a wonderful spot for authentic North Indian street-style breakfast. We tried their Khasta Chole, Atta Pudi, Chole Pulav, and Lassi—and everything tasted amazing. The flavors were rich and traditional, and the food was served fresh and hot. The lassi was thick, creamy, and a perfect end to the meal.
A big plus point is their eco-friendly approach—they serve everything in leafy, biodegradable cutlery, which is a rare and commendable move. It’s great to see small eateries taking steps toward sustainability.
While the food hygiene seemed decent, the surroundings could be improved. There’s an open drain right in front of the shop, which takes away from the overall ambiance. That said, the food quality makes up for it.
While I was having breakfast, a pet bird seller stopped by, and in a beautiful gesture, the owner of the shop bought all the birds and released them. It was heartwarming to witness, and it really speaks volumes about the values of the people behind this place.
I was going to rate it 4 stars due to the surroundings, but this act of kindness earned them a well-deserved 5 stars. Definitely...
Read moreAbsolutely love these Khastas. Back when I was in college my friend introduced me to this Khasta place and ever since then whenever I’m in Lucknow I make it a point to get up early in the morning to have the crispy yummy Khastas. Although the operate throughout the day, but as a lucknowi it’s a different spirit to start your morning with Khasta from this place and then have Sharma or Keval Chai. Proper Awadh morning feels. It’s also reasonable you got 2 khastas for 44/- They even serve you puris with it if you’d like. There are also other varieties of breakfast like chaaaaach n jalebis too I guess. Just that they don’t have a proper sitting area, although they have now occupied a place where there is a table where you can put your food, stand n eat but still not too stable n convenient so just a lil tip. Rest, if you’re in Lucknow do try their Khastas with Keval tea and at the end some Malai makkkan from...
