Hridayam Kashi Homestay — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

I booked the property almost 2 months prior to my stay and contacted the owner personally to confirm my booking. He confirmed me that my booking is surely confirmed from their end. I was then relaxed. When 1 month was left, the owner sent me an email to pay 50% amount to confirm the booking (even though they have mentioned No Prepayment Needed at the Booking.com website. I asked him that I can't pay that much in advance so then he asked me to pay 25%. Although I was not willing to make the payment but still I asked his account details to transfer 25% advance amount. He lastly asked me to cancel the booking as he has allotted that booking to someone else though airbnb. I was travelling with senior citizens with me but still he chose to harass me mentally with the bookings. If he had already decided to cancel the booking then why did he asked me to pay 50% or 25% advance amount.

Really pathetic behaviour...
