Max Hotel Prayagraj — Hotel in Uttar Pradesh

Recently we were trying to get booking for a family function. We wanted booking of 15 rooms and banquet hall. Rohit was the person we reached over phone. He was very slow in response. After calling 4-5 times he was responding to us. He used to tell that he has other clients to handle too. But what about us??? We were paying 2L for 2 days and yet he was not prompt to reply. We liked rooms and banquet hall and yet we dropped this hotel because if this person is not responding now then what kind of service would be of this hotel during function! So we dropped this hotel. PS: This place was charging 750 per plate for just 1 sabji, 1 roti, dal, Raita , Rice. When u asked if he would provide small bisleri water bottles, he denied!!! 750 for such boring menu and yet he had the audacity to say “mam ap pay karoge to ap to mangoge hi! “ bro, we didn’t asked 10 course meal for free. For 750 per plate , your hotel should be providing bisleri water bottles. I also requested for 1 complimentary room for bride during mehendi day. He denied saying we don’t provide room for complimentary. Whereas any hotel provides a complimentary min 1 room for any function, just to change clothes or for any emergency. But this place doesn’t!!! On asking him reason, he gave a lame reason saying, that we already will have 15 rooms so we can’t provide extra room complimentary. Unprofessional approach.

1. Ecard was not working for one of the rooms hired (316). Each time we had to wait for someone to come with the master card to open the door. This was so during the entire period of stay of 2 days.

2. AC was automatically getting on and off throughout the night making continuous sound . The staff had no clue to resolve the issue.

3. The two rooms with king beds had been booked. While checking in, the counter staff proudly announced that they have upgraded us to premium room. However, on occupying we found that beds were of queen size. On enquiry, we were told that the hotel has no king size bed in any of its rooms. Further, there was absolutely no difference between the so called premium rooms and other rooms.

4. The front desk staff even had the audacity to tell that if we cannot "fit in" queen size beds, he can provide extra bed.

5. The breakfast on first day was awful. Idli was not tasting like idli, chatney was not tasting like chatney, wada was not tasting like wada. Only things that were tasting the way they were supposed to taste were bread and corn flakes.

6. Wash rooms are poorly maintained even in the so called premium rooms. No provisions to hang bath towels or under garments. It appears that they expect one to hold these things in one hand and have bath.

Stayed for 02 nights in Nov 2024. Booking was made by the organisation engaging me for some inspection.Propert is adjacent to Civil Lines Railway Station Prayagraj which may appear to be a point of benefit. However contrary to this assumption and because the hotel thrives on the unknowing travellers it has many maintenance issues. The room which I was occupying had broken commode hand shower, dripping taps in bathing area. In daytime noise of the city and during night constant railway announcements which can be heard in your closed rooms irritate and make sure that you do not sleep. Internet connectivity is a big issue and when complained, I was told that it is because of the jammers installed by railway. Restaurant Menue is very short and there is huge room of improvement in quality and taste. The only good thing is that the staff is cordial. However, during my check in process 03 persons were at reception and the person dealing with me started talking on phone and throughout my check in process he was on call and other two did not interact with me or explained about the facilities I can avail in hotel in my package. On the day of check-out breakfast was not ready at 7:30 am as per expressed timings. Because of this my schedule got delayed by half an hour minimum. Overall advise Google and choose some other place of stay. No fun in spending any penny over stay at...
