Hotel Aradhana Palace — Hotel in Uttarakhand

This was a great find. We were in a family group of 20 people, in different age groups from 5 to 85 years. Stayed for 2 nights in April 2016.||||The USP of the hotel is that it is 300 m away from Lakshman Jhula, right in the middle of the market, and kept clean. A/c's were effective at all times. There was little noise as well, unless you were facing the road side Cafe, where a lot of local and Indianized foreigners ensured loud music was played.||||Hotel has a small entrance and is basically got about 12-15 rooms on 2 floors. Rooms cater to different sizes, single bed, double bed, and triple bed accommodation. There were options for both Non-AC and AC, however A/c is definitely required from Mar - November, as temperatures can be a killer here.||||They do not have a fridge or cofee-maker in the room, and no dining services, however you are right in the middle of the market, so food is never an issue, with lots of restaurants and dhabas in the nearby vicinity.||||Wifi is available, opt for first floor rooms as the signal is stronger.||||If you are a family of 4 (2+2 children), have a look at the room size first, as they vary and some of the rooms can be a bit small. ||||Rates vary from season to season, weekends and holidays are usually more expensive, and you can bargain for a discount. Average price is about Rs. 1500 - 1800 for A/c room, and will be cheaper in off season (Dec - Feb). Rishikesh being mostly famous for rafting and pilgirms, you can expect to find 50-100% occupancy at most times here on weekends. Light does not go off as Uttarakhand has surplus power- hotel also has a backup generator. ||||Hotel can organize rafting trips for guests. Charges vary from 350 to 1000, depending upon distance (350 from Brahmapuri, 450 from Shivpuri, 600 from Wild River, 850 from Kundiyala)||||Parking is not available, however you can park your vehicle at the Local paid parking which is about 50m away. This was this best randomly found (unplanned) hotel I've ever been too. My partner and I stayed here for almost a month and we loved it.

Aman, Sandeep & their family provided an incredible service every single day. No matter what our requirements were (changing of lights, fixing something, suggestions, concerns, etc..) they immediately responded favourably and put in the extra work to make our desires come true. We communicated in very good English.

The prices were very decent too. Especially considering access to a fully equipped kitchen on the roof which helps to save a lot of money from eating in cafés/ restaurants.

The location in upper Tapovan is very quiet and peaceful while remaining a 20 minute walk to the Ganga. Our favourite thing was the quietness in the mornings and evenings.

We were very happy with the room we chose. Comfortable beds, nice lighting, warm water, plenty of storage, regular room service, & a mini balcony to catch some morning sun.

Lastly, the hotel is new, kept in amazing condition and very spacious with many areas to hang around without needing to stay in the room. The roof access is lovely, the yoga hall spacious and there's even a co-working/ hang out area.
