Hotel Saurab — Hotel in Uttarakhand

Propably the worst option in Dehradun. When entering the staircase we realized that this place is far away from the description given in the lonely planet... We still wonder if one of the authors has ever entered the Hotel.||All rooms that were shown to us were damp, moldy, dirty and stinking. We even found cigarette butts on the floor of our bedroom. Small windows are existing, but nobody seems to open them. The beds were neither comfortable nor clean. The bathroom did not have a window and was extremly molded. ||The staff was friendly, but the management was really rude and annoying.||The room service offers mainly liquor so that you can see empty liquor bottles and ashtrays all over the corridors. ||We chose Hotel Saurab only because of its location next to the railway station and close to Rajpur road, but it is definetely not worth its price and we would never stay...

Dehradun is a very nice place for tourist as well as the climatic condition is also very awesome.The people from various states and cities came here to spend||||their holidays with their families and also enjoys a lot.This place is good because all things are easily available and the local people are also very friendly||||with the outsiders.There is also a good safety of people no one behaves bad with others.The hotels are also aeasily available and the accomodation/rooms are||||also very nice.The local sight seeing is also very good and there are also many places to visit in dehradun and many tourist places to visit in dehradun.The best thing||||in dehradun is that all things are easily available and easy to buy no more rush...

A lonely planet review and trip adviser sticker in the nice looking reception are misleading. This place is a dive.||The first room we were offered had 2 members of staff eating in there when we arrived, and there was blood all over the toilet seat. We had to argue for some time to get a different room rather than have them clean it. After all, if they thought that room was acceptable as it was, I don't put much faith in their cleaning skills.||||Even the replacement room was grotty, with stains on the walls and floor. The shower was ||barely working, and what little water actually came out was cold. Didn't even dare to venture into their restaurant. 100%...
