Pros- Workcationers - wifi plan subscribed is 100Mbps and is connected to a power backup. During rains (which is off-season anyway) I was told there could be occasional long-ish cuts from the service provider end, confirm with the owner before checking in. You will have to sit and work on the bed because the power outlet is directly on top of a sidestand next to the bed, not allowing your plug to fit in (maybe the sidestand is not meant as a workstation at all, I didn't ask).
Winds - situated on top of a hill overlooking valleys on both the front (east/sunrise facing) and back (west/sunset facing) sides of the room, cool, breezy winds blow almost throughout the day in (atleast) the summer months and are a godsend for weary corporate slackers. Open both front and back doors for the optimal experience. Maybe this is what they mean when they say Kasar has a special energy about the place due to an alleged gap in the Van der Wallen belt.
Service - both the owner and caretaker promptly respond to queries/calls for help on matters big and small right from the enquiry stage to check-out. Technically a hotel, it almost felt like a semi-homestay. The owner is well known and connected in the region. As a week long solo guest, I also availed of their in-house meal service which was simple and delicious. Wish there was more of Kumaoni fare though than the regular Indian offered. Negative feedback on checkout was actively sought and my concerns on Wifi power backup addressed within a week of checking out, so its clear the owner is quite mindful of setting impeccable service standards.
Property - as of Jun'22, property was new with top notch furniture and very comfortable beds, mattresses and covers bringing sleep instantly (just the thing you want on a holiday). Bathrooms are clean and have instant solar-powered water available. Showers work. It is centrally located on the main highway from where you could walk down one of the hillsides to explore forests and more homestays run by the locals.
The only con is sound travels longer in the mountains perhaps aided by the winds and because it is located right on the highway, they get frequent guests (unlike other remotely located properties). These from-you-know-where people in holiday party mode and on seeing the views go crazy shouting like little kids (apart from their kids of course). They went away for sightseeing during the day so it was quiet again but mornings/evenings were especially noisy, moreso if you're logged in at work and are on calls. So its not quite the secluded, away-from-people place in the mountains you're looking for, atleast in high season.
Thanks Arjun and Naveen for the hospitality, hope to...

Me, my wife and my daughter we 3 people to visit Kasar Devi 3 days on Diwali holidays Ram Heritage Village Gadhauli, Kasar Devi is located on Binsar main road, stayed here which is located just 1 km away from Kasar Devi temple Is , . This homestay is run by Mr. Arjun Singh Mehra, very friendly and calm natured and practical and his homestay in Kasar Devi is the oldest and most reliable And Ram Heritage is very well built, all the rooms here are very big, ventilated and very well maintained as compared to other homestays, all facilities are available here. The sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening are very panoramic views from all the rooms and any person gets mesmerized by seeing them. From here, panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalaya range are also seen from here. The Koshi river can be clearly seen flowing from the back balcony and terrace of this homestay, which is flowing hundreds of feet below in the foothills, in the morning, it has mesmerizing white clouds that happen as the sun rises up. going to clean. Here breakfast, lunch and dinner were also made available according to our demand, especially Kumaoni Thali in which all the delicious dishes were traditional Kumaoni. All vegetables are organic and come from their own farm. On the night of Deepawali, he invited us to his village Gadhauli to celebrate Diwali and for Mahalakshmi Puja and dinner and took us on foot along with him. It was a very exciting trekking from his village which was 1.5 km from there on the mountain. There he was accorded very good respect by him and all his family members, the hospitality that was given to all of them was very nice and heart touching. I don't have any words to describe it. Those moments that will never be forgotten in life i.e. unforgettable for all of us and here at our home also special traditional Kumaoni dishes were served by them which were very delicious. Our mind was to stay here but due to lack of time, we left here with a very heavy heart and now the wish is that soon we will definitely stay back in this homestay and will stay here every time whenever Kasar Devi and its surrounding tourists places will come to visit. The All the services provided by them are excellent and we never even realized that we are in our own home or staying in any...
Read morewell i must say the helper guy named naveen was good at his job was helpful and polite, but i wish i could say the same for its owner (Arjun) as well. we booked this place for our father for a week and our only mistake was to trust arjuns words. we, my father was very clear that he is going to stay for a week and if he is going to enjoy his stay he will extend it to 15 days and on a safer side he did mention that due to his age if he wont be comfortable he might will leave early and arjun confirmed his terms and coated room price accordingly. because me and my husband was there just to make sure that our father is comfortable we book our room for 2 days. this clever guy didn't close the booking for our father's room and kept it available online he even accepted that it was his mistake. He didn't even bother to inform by himself, my father called helper guy for some help and he very casually informed him that sorry sir you have to leave this place by tomorrow as our whole stay house has been booked online it was so shocking for us i mean who does that? you dont treat your guest like this.
and the owner this arjun guy his argumental behaviour was so rude and pathetic, with his rude attitude he was arguing by saying that "mei konsa apko keh ra hu ap abi nikl jao mei apko ek din de raha hu" god! as if its favour he is doing. he really needs to learn how to be a polite host specially when you know you made big mistake.
now a days people are just having a place and they think just by providing a service and view we can earn enough but they hardly knows how to earn respect, and manners.
For any profession its very important to have sense of acceptance, how to react to both positive and negative inputs. and you can see in this guy's behaviour the way he is responding to...
