Our stay at Hotel Garden Reach was truly exceptional, defined by genuine warmth and outstanding service from every single team member. Nestled amidst lush greenery with breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga, the location is serene perfection.
The staff are the hotel's greatest asset. Attentive, courteous, and always wearing a smile, they anticipated needs effortlessly, whether it was arranging taxis, serving delicious meals (the breakfast is a highlight!), or simply offering local tips. Their pride in the hotel and Kalimpong shines through.
A special mention to the receptionist, whose warm welcome set the tone. Efficient and incredibly helpful, they handled check-in/out seamlessly and provided excellent guidance throughout our stay.
The Manager, Mr. Sandip, deserves high praise. His visible presence and proactive approach ensured everything ran flawlessly. He personally checked on guests, addressed any minor queries instantly, and clearly empowers his team to deliver top-notch hospitality.
The owner's, Mamta Pradhan's, passion is evident in every detail – the immaculate gardens, the tasteful decor blending local charm with comfort, and the overall tranquil ambiance both inside her heart and outside her hotel are exceptionally commendable. Their commitment to guest satisfaction permeates the entire experience.
Rooms were spacious, spotless, and well-appointed. The views are simply unbeatable. Small thoughtful touches, like homemade cookies, added to the charm.
Hotel Garden Reach isn't just a place to stay; it's an experience crafted by people who genuinely care. For exceptional service, stunning views, and a deeply welcoming atmosphere, it comes with my highest recommendation. We left feeling like cherished guests, not just customers. **5 stars...
Read moreWe stayed for 4 nights and it was not a good experience. We booked two rooms and they gave us one room so small that you can barely walk in the room but they charged the same for both rooms...They didn't have any other rooms. For food, their cook was on holiday and they were serving other premium customers than us. It took 2 hours for food. The location is a bit isolated, there is nothing around, you have to walk about 1.2km to come to main market. The photos that you see online are not the same. They have garden but its so tiny, photos are misleading. They have garden after going down two floors downward. Restaurant is at -1 level. Again all in very inconveniently placed. They advertise it in a nice way its all marketing. We ordered alu paratha, which was 100rs per pc and that too so thin. Apart from this food was excellent. There is a huge water shortage and all other guests were complaining. Our room didnt have water shortage but the flow of water in the toilet was such that we cannot even wash while sitting on the WC.. One of the guest started shouting as water was unavailable to him while he was in the toilet. Furthermore, their management is too carefree, they parked the cars but don't know who is the owner of the car.. We wasted 1 hour in the morning trying to take our car out because its single line parking and some drivers were not even in the premises. Overall, I would never have booked it but because we paid fully we were forced to stay. If you can then please AVOID this hotel. if staying for 1 night, then please see the rooms and toilet water conditions before...
Read moreIt is a gem of a hotel in Kalimpong. Stayed here in a double bed room having an awesome view of the mountains, during mid April'25 for 3 days and 2 nights. The room was big and suitably decorated and well appointed. Had a huge glass window for a mesmerizing view of the Darjeeling hills and garden beneath. Room and attached bathroom was clean. All fixtures including Geyser and Electric kettle worked perfectly.
The hotel is run by the owners family themselves. They really put extra effort to make our stay comfortable and memorable. However odd our requests were, they tried their best to accommodate always with a smile. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
The restaurant is located in the lower level and also has entrance to the garden. It has ample sitting room. The staff provided personal attention to all persons dining and always went extra mile to make the dining experience better. Food was good almost homelike, especially the Indian dishes. The breakfast buffet spread was limited but enough to start a day with positive energy. The garden outside is ideal for spending time having tea soaking in the sun and the view in front. It has a swing and slide for the kids. The garden reach hotel is situated in the upper cart road and 1 KM away from the main market in a perfect location. Parking is also available inside the property or on the road outside. Overall we had a great stay and highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely...
