I had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Kalimpong, and I must say it quickly became a personal favourite. This charming cafe not only serves the bestest hot chocolate I've ever tasted but also offers a delectable menu that left me craving for more.

The star of the show was undoubtedly their hot chocolate. It was a heavenly concoction of rich, velvety chocolate that warmed both my heart and soul. Each sip was pure bliss, and I couldn't help but indulge in multiple cups during my visit. If you're a hot chocolate lover, this is an absolute must-try.

Aside from their exceptional hot chocolate, the food at Cafe Kalimpong was simply divine. Their menu featured a delightful variety of dishes, ranging from all favourites pizzas and flavourful pastas to mouthwatering desserts. Every plate that was served showcased a harmonious blend of flavours, and I was impressed by the quality of ingredients and the skilful execution of each dish.

Furthermore, the ambiance of the cafe added to the overall experience. It had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal or catching up with friends over a cup of coffee with a view. The attentive and friendly staff further enhanced the dining experience, making me feel right at home.

Stepping into Café Kalimpong feels like entering a world where food isn’t just food...it’s magic on a plate. The flavors? Absolutely mind-blowing! Every bite bursts with taste so incredible that it’s almost impossible to put into words. It’s the kind of food that makes you close your eyes and savor every second.

But great food alone doesn’t make a place special.. the people do. And the staff here? They redefine hospitality. Visited July 30, 2025 – Day 27 in India

Came for dinner here with my family and my friend’s family. The café is in a beautiful location with stunning views, making it a lovely spot to unwind after a long day of travel and sightseeing.

We ordered the pork keema noodles, pork momo steamed, pork momo pan fried, French fries, and iced coffee.

The pork keema noodles were okay, the flavor was mild, nothing wow but not bad either. The steamed pork momo was different than what we are used to: very thick skin which made the texture a little heavy, and it masked some of the filling’s flavor. The pan fried pork momo had a similar issue, and since it was ordered mainly for the kids, the extra chili oil drizzled on top felt unnecessary and made it a bit too spicy for them.

The French fries were decent, crispy edges, soft inside, but nothing to rave about. The iced coffee was refreshing, which was nice, especially as the evening cooled down.

Service was inattentive. We had to wait longer than expected before someone took our order, and getting refills or even checking if everything was okay took a lot of effort. It felt like staff were stretched or distracted.

Overall we left a bit underwhelmed. The location and views are definitely highlights, but the food and service didn’t quite match what...
