Ownland Hotels and Resorts — Hotel in West Bengal

OWNLAND resort is the best choice at Old Digha for staying and food purposes with package system.

Pros: They will provide you a room with decent look and all amenities like a table sofa almirah dressing table and comfortable bed with attached bathroom and Room are more than enough space.(Room Service is Very Good for changing bedsheet,Single and cleaning bathroom and room daily and One person named Manik is well trained & well behavioral person)

The swimming pool is very clean and the shower is there also. (The manager of this hotel is also a well behavioral and helpful person)

they also provide you pick up and drop facility. (The driver's behaviour is very polite)

Lunch and Dinner will be served with Authentic Style with Delicious and filled table Bengali style finger licking foods Items like Lunch- Rice ,dal, sabji ,vaji ,Dahi Katla Mutton or chicken, Chatni ,Papad. Dinner- Bengali fried rice,Chicken Chinese items or ruti and Ice cream. Breakfast - Puri sabji or bread butter. Quality of food - you must luck your fingers after finished.

Cons: Location is 10-12 min walking distance from old digha Beach but they will provide you a car for dropping at sea beach. So for getting all of this you have to compromise this location.

Behaviour of Restaurant manager (not hotel manager) is not good and don't idea about any manage or treat with customer. I am telling you one situation - At the time of lunch we had lunch at restaurant and also breakfast but at night i called the restaurant to send dinner to room they clearly said and mentioned it for package system this facility is not available and told me to pickup my dinner ownself to room. After that I went to the restaurant to pick up my dinner and informed it to the hotel manager, he helped me and provided a person for room service.

• I will expect from the owner of this hotel, he will take attention for this not to happen again this.*

Overall I will suggest this hotel for best staying and food purposes at a reasonable price.

🗓️ Stayed: 21/06/2025 to 23/06/2025 🏨 Hotel: Ownland Resort, Digha 🚫 Room No: 508 (Owner: Mr. Joydip)

We had a very disappointing experience at Ownland Resort due to Room 508. While the resort itself looks good and some rooms are nice, this particular room was in terrible condition. 😞

🔻 Major Issues in Room 508: • 🌫️ Dim lighting and fan covered in thick dust • 📺 TV remote had no batteries • 🚱 No sealed drinking water bottles provided • 🚽 Dirty washroom floor and sink • 🧴 No soap, toiletries, or basic amenities • ☕ No coffee machine • ❌ No geyser • 🚫 No exhaust fan in the washroom • 🛏️ Torn bed sheet, broken bed and broken cupboard

We asked for a room change, but the reception told us that Mr. Joydip owns only this one room in the hotel and they couldn’t shift us to another, even though other rooms were clearly in better condition.

When we raised the issues directly with Mr. Joydip, he said:

"You’re getting a bed and AC. That’s all to expect." 😡 That’s completely unacceptable, especially when we were paying Rs. 1800 per night.

1st of all...my friends booked the place...in the picture it was looking good...bt the actual place looks very shabby..by the look of it...one can clearly understand tht the place lacks maintenance. We stayed at second floor...the rooms were not so good...n the enginnering of the bathrooms are weird. The AC of my friends room was not even working properly. The pool looked good...bt as we got into the pool...it seemed that the pool was dirty!! It had a lot of dead insects, and dirt. And the behaviour of the stuffs were really rude and bad. One of our friends vomited and we needed cold water urgently...bt as me n my friend went downstairs to ask for water...they said rudely tht it was 11pm...and they stops their services post 10:30pm..! Hence my friend had to suffer the whole night...and they won't even let us go out to get a bottle of water as they had closed the door already..! There were other guys of the hotel who kind of faced the same issue...as they got late...they didn't even had the food that day. So even they made a fuss about it. Also they provide complimentary car service to the main road..its supposed to be included in the package...but we went outside for 3 times but we did not get that complimentary car service for 2 times.. we had to go to the beach in scorching heat..as the car was not present. All over it was not so...
