I booked this hotel via their WhatsApp number a week before the actual check-in at Dol/Holi, i.e., March 18-20, 2022. Almost all rooms have been booked, except one ac and one non-ac room, so I had to make adjustments with these available rooms. The fare for both non-ac and ac were same during my booking, at 1800 INR per day per room. I suspect the fare might be lower during off-season. Tarapith witnessed tremendous rush this Holi, as most of the hotels and lodges were fully booked.
The ac room was spacious enough, clean and all. It had a small balcony too, with garden view. The non-ac room which we got, seemed much smaller. The toilets surprisingly have no exhaust fan system, at least I haven't got them in my two rooms. Only one small ventilation was there for each toilet, which expectedly didn't perform well enough. Although we didn't use it, maybe they have central geysers system which could be activated for ac rooms by talking to the management/reception.
The printed food chart said order should be preferably given half an hour before, but in our case, both dinner and lunch were served pretty late, at least 2 hours or more was our waiting period in each case. For example, we ordered lunch at 12pm or so, and we got it it after 2:45 pm. The reason behind it might be that the hotel was fully booked, and each family had different orders for them. Anyway, I am not complaining too much about the delay.
The staffs and the management were very courteous.
The location of this hotel is little off. People who come to Tarapith in own/hired car, they will have no problem, because it has plenty of parking space. But for others, it is about 1 km to 1.5 km from nearest three point road crossing and Toto/Auto Rickshaw stand. There are no shops nearby too. For temple visit or local shopping, auto/toto is must if you have family. Or else if you love little bit of walking, you wouldn't mind its location. This location also makes the surroundings little less noisier. In the evening, the tranquility will make your stay more enjoyable, away from the din and bustle of traffic.
However, the manager has many contacts with local auto/toto drivers, and can easily book one for you. We booked all our toto drives with his help, except one in which all toto of his contact were booked before. I had to walk up a kilometer to get a toto. But I believe that this happened only because this 2022 holi holiday Tarapith was overflowing with tourists. Even the local shop owners said so. In short, I enjoyed my stay...
Read moreReviews for my occupancy from 3rd to 5th Oct’22 in ( four beded )room no. 320.: -On the very first day I understood room rent can be very much negotiated, which I did not as I accepted the very first rate offered to me Rs. 2200/- per day. For example heavy (spot) discounts can be availed i.e. 22%(e.g. @ rs. 1900/- per day can be availed @ rs.1500/-). You will be asked to pay the room rent upfront, i.e. at the very moment of check-in, without availing the services and will be told that this is the ‘norm’ in Tarapith. I have not received WiFi internet service on the 2nd floor, regardless of reminding more than once at the front desk. Might have to remind multiple times to get an extra towel or a blanket, may be due to shortage or unavailability. Intercom telephone connections are intermittently faulty, very likely to face issues while connecting front desk especially at the time of need. AC, geyser and water connection are managed from the front desk centrally for economy, which will be switched off once you go out of the hotel, but will not be switched on automatically once you come back, unless you remind the front desk. Bathroom is not having exhaust fan may cause smells to get propagated...
Read moreIn my opinion, this is the best hotel in Tarapith to stay with your family. I searched so many hotels there in Tarapith in-person, but sorry to say 90% of them had very rude behaviour, high price, and low quality rooms. However, I found Puja International was best to stay. They have high quality and hygienic rooms, good food both taste and quantity wise, a very beautiful, clean and well maintained swimming pool, and a very calm, serene, and peace environment. All of the staffs there in this hotel are very co-operative, nice, polite, and supportive.
I would like to give a special thanks to Somnath Banerjee da for his very humble responses towards our each and every queries and issues. He is such an exceptional calm and humble man I ever seen in hotels at tourist places. Thanks to him.
Lastly, I would say that I will definitely think of Puja International everytime whenever I go to Tarapith and also recommend everyone to stay there, you'll definitely enjoy and had a...
