Rise n Shine Homestay — Hotel in West Bengal

Location - Very Close to Japanese temple far away from the madding crowd. Higher probability of getting disturbed by the early traffic if stayed in the heart of the town. Cabs were easily available at minimal rates at the time of our choice.

Rooms - Large and spacious bedroom with elegant furnishing. Two large double beds of fine wood. Comfortable washroom with geyser and 24 hours running water. Cosy living room with large sofas and centre table. Separate dining table.

Food - Excellent quality as per our choice was served. I had my 6yo kid with me and had wanted everything with less spice and oil. It was carefully prepared with great love. Portion was more than what we get in ordinary hotels.

Others - A-grade cleanliness and linen. Wifi with strong bandwidth. Inverter back-up in case of load shedding. Well maintained privacy of the guests.

Personal favourite - The humble host with a great sense of responsibility to take care of minute comfort of us. I found him always available to respond whenever I wanted any sort of assistance (from the time of booking till we returned back to our home). We did not had to compromise for a single service or facility. Being an occasional traveller this is going to be one of my favourites. Would love to visit again with family or friends whenever I plan for Darjeeling.

I had selected Rise and Shine purely based upon the reviews and i am so proud to refer it to all as well. Darjeeling is a tourist place. Hence, there are hundreds of places to stay. If you are looking for a comfortable tour with the ease of home then this would be your best decision for sure.

Excellent room condition and cleanliness. My family loved the room as soon as they entered. It's really spacious, fitted with super clean beds, reasonably wide bathrooms. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking and in my view is the best feature of the property.

The hospitality of the owner cum staff (Sanjyog) is unparalleled. Food (not included in the package in my case) quality is excellent and hygenic.

The living area is excellent, with enough place to accommodate 4-5 people.

Location is a bit far from the market (1.5km approx), you will need to take a public vehicle in order to reach the market. However, I personally prefer locations away from the Market places, so it was never an issue for me. Also, public vehicles (sumo/car) are easily available, the owner can arrange at any time.

We stayed at rise and shine homestay for 2 days. And I must say that it was a very pleasant experience for our family. The view from the room and balcony is just awesome. Rooms are very clean and quiet spacious. The owner Sanyog ji is very polite and helpful. He catered to all our needs. They also provide delicious home cooked food. Infact they cooked food for my 2 year old kid too, exactly just as we wanted. The place is within short reach from Darjeeling Mall road and the owner provides drop and pick facility too. Our whole trip was very well managed by the owner itself right from pick up from NJP, sightseeing till dropping. Overall it was an excellent choice for the stay. Loved...
