I've been visiting Washington for the last 5 years, and I must say, it's my absolute go-to restaurant in Darjeeling! The momo Washington serves, exceeds all expectations! Both pork and chicken! The fried rice is what authentic Chinese should be like, white, non oily, and devoid of any ridiculous sauce. I would also highly recommend the Chinese chopsuey, which is served with a more than generous topping of meat and vegetables. You've got to give it to the chef and the owner of Washington for not being miserly with their ingredients! What also sets Washigton apart from other restaurants in Darjeeling is the cosy ambience, the old world charm of it being a historic institution in Darjeeling town. Try their shapta , flat noodles, momos and sausages everything is good. They are so accomodating that even if you want to sit there and eat ALU mimi from the nearby shop , the restaurant owner who is a thorough gentleman will smilingly say 'OK!'.
NOTE: Since they are so flooded with customers, chilled beer may not be available round the clock. You can ask the owner to pop some into the freezer as soon as you enter even before looking at the...
