During our recent Darjeeling trip, we finally visited SOL Cafe—a place we had often come across in reels. Known among locals for its coffee and Korean delicacies, it definitely lived up to the hype.
We tried: Americano Cafe Mocha Iced Caramel Macchiato Espresso Tonic Tuna & Mayo Kimbap
On our first visit, we went for the Americano and Café Mocha. The Americano was bold with a beautiful aroma, while the Mocha struck the perfect balance between coffee and chocolate.
We loved it so much that we returned the next day to try more. The Espresso Tonic turned out to be wonderfully refreshing, and the Iced Caramel Macchiato was smooth, creamy, and pleasantly sweet without being overpowering.
We packed the Tuna & Mayo Kimbap for dinner. Though we couldn’t really find any mayo in it, the taste was still impressive.

Read moreThis cafe is definitely worth checking out if you’re in Darjeeling! They have the best and honestly the only crackling latte in town. It’s something unique, and if you’re a coffee lover, you’ve got to give it a try. The food is really good too, fresh and flavorful without trying too hard. In the evenings, they do a BBQ, which is pretty awesome. The grilled stuff is tasty, and the vibe during that time feels really chill and laid back...
One thing I really appreciated is that they actually have parking for two wheelers, which is such a rare thing in Darjeeling. If you’ve been here, you know how frustrating parking can get, so this is a big plus.
The place itself has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. It’s not overly fancy, but it feels cozy and welcoming, which is what you want when you’re out to grab a good meal or coffee. Overall, it’s a great spot to hang out, especially if you’re looking for something a bit different with the crackling latte and BBQ....
Read moreMy recent experience at Sol Cafe has left me unsatisfied due to the combination of their small portion sizes in comparison to the prices, and average taste of most of their food. While I appreciate the cafe's service and the efforts of the servers, most of the dishes along with the beverages I’ve tried lack good taste, making them forgettable and failing to justify their prices.
I also experienced an unfortunate case of food poisoning the very next day after trying their army stew, they should really reevaluate their food safety measures. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and implements the necessary improvements to enhance the overall dining experience for...
