Manise Hotel Ambon — Hotel in Ambon

Nice, clean enough hotel in Ambon City with nice air conditioning. The rooms did not smell like cigarette smoke but the lobby and other areas were not smoke free as per usual in this area. The staff were kind and polite. The breakfast was adequate, though not anything special. I did find out the last day that you can order an omelette on top of the Indonesian food on the breakfast buffet. Probably three stars somewhere else but based on what I saw around us I think four stars is accurate for this location. You can easily walk to some good food options. I would stay here again...

Although the service was ok, the rooms were terrible. I wondered why the booking asked if I wanted a quiet room and found out why. They have loud concerts in the hotel right next to rooms. The rooms were also dirty and faucets were broken and leaking. I had 2 rooms with bathroom malfunctions. Power also went out constantly and at unknown times with no warning. No back up generator. No wifi in the rooms but you can request an ethernet cable and bring your own Wi-Fi router. AC has a hard time keeping up with temperature...
