Read moreTheir best menu (Nasi Kelapa) is always out of stock. You'll need to come before 8AM to get a piece. Everything else, which is usually either Soto or Nasi goreng is too bland for Indonesian tongue. Maybe it's because they usually cater for tourists so everything is watered down.
Their coffee and milk is ok. Not the best, just ok.
Their traditional snacks are good and are usually available till late night. Toasts are also good.
Best part is the cheap beer and the atmosphere. The patrons and staff makes it homy...and there's open mic every night (I think).

Came back at night for a beer after a very poor dinner across the road at Cili Padi. Again, love the place. Only issues were the beggars pestering clients (obviously cos it's a tourist hangout), they didnt have Bintang, only Anker beer (poor beer and it was flat so very old), and the live music with echo box is way too loud to the point of being annoying cos u cant hold a conversation ... but between sets, i.e. music free,...
