Well I do have mixed feelings about the property, however a 2 star rating because it does not live up to the standard of a 4 star hotel, let alone a Novotel. As an Accord group hotel it should be ashamed of itself. Some All Season in Indonesia may do a better job. For the price you paid, there are other 4 stars much closer to the city centre. This one is near the airport and not much else. Unless you want to count in the various hospitals surrounding it. Its far from any amenities unless travel by vehicle. Only a convenient store opposite. The property is not well maintained. Stains in the bath room really turn you off. As a four star hotel, I'm very puzzled they do not offer shower/bath form, conditional or body lotion. This is my first encounter of an hotel that does not do so. Rooms are not ergonomically design. Clothes rack are at odd location. Do not know why, the water heater seems not to function too well, it's either too hot or cold all the time. Pressure really low at best. Air conditioning is also very weired, it becomes very warm in the middle of the night. I virtually sweat through a few nights. Of my four night stay, I did not really have a good rest. During my stay, my door hinge even came off that jam the door. Talking about doors, this hotel had the weirdest door opening mechanism that require you to turn up then down to open the door after slotting in the card. I had witnessed many guests being jam at the door trying to open it. Sound insulation is also not too good. I could even hear upstairs opening and closing of door in the middle of the night. They only have a pair of lift for the entire property to go to the guest room. So it's a crazy wait at the peak period. The property is very popular with its local. I observed 90% of guests being domestic travellers. The only good part of my stay is the housekeeping staff at my level is enthusiastic about her work. Never fails to greet us whenever she see us. Breakfast is also another highlight of my stay as there are wide variety of local n international cuisine available. I should say 60% indonesian cuisine available. Many live station offering noodles, eggs, waffles and traditional indonesian food or dessert depending on day. Food is of standard. However when the restaurant start to filled up and the service standards will drop exponentially. Food may not be refill quickly and tables may not be set. Quality of coffee will also...
Read moreWORST HOTEL EVER!!!|I checked in at 15.45 with Jihad, and he said just wait 10 mins bcs the room was not ready yet. I was waiting for 5 mins and I couldn't wait anymore bcs it doesn't make sense. I came back to Jihad to complaint and he said "iya kak maaf kakak nya req high floor kan, high floor kami belum ready ka" HOW COME HOTEL CHAIN CAN'T PREPARE THE GUEST REQUEST BEFORE ARRIVAL??? After that Jihad gave me the room key and he said the room is ready at 11th floor. Anyway I'm hotelier. The second thing, I called reception to ask bathmat and tissue box, I was waiting for some time but nobody come to my room. I came to reception and ask directly to Jihad. He said he will send housekeeping. After that I came back to my room. Why do I need to come to reception to req anything? As the guest we can req anything by phone right? The third thing, I called reception at 20.17 to ask chopstik but the lady said they don't have it. HOW COME HOTEL CHAIN DOESN'T HAVE CHOPSTIK??? I don't believe her so I called IRD directly and he said they have it. After that he came to my room. The fourth thing, this morning I was breakfast at restaurant and I came to pasta area. I asked one lady which is SHE IS A CHEF. I asked her wether they have spagetthi or no. She said spagetthi is being refilled. But I don't believe her bcs there is no tag for spagetthi. I came to my table for eating. After I finished the food, I came back to that area, I ask to another lady she said they don't have spagetthi. I was like "that lady said you guys have spagetthi" I was looking at the first lady and she just quiet, looking down as if she didn't hear. WOW THE WORST HOTEL CHAIN I'VE EVER KNOW. How come the chef doesn't know the menu for breakfast??? Wallahi I never recommended this hotel to my relatives. And I'll never come back to this hotel anymore. As I know hotel chain always give the best service to guest. But this hotel very very worst. I'm hotelier so If I'm in their position, I'll make sure to give best service...
Read moreNovotel Bandung fulfilled my request for the highest quiet room with mountain view. My room at 1116 has astonishing mountain view with wide city view below and great sunset.
(+) Well located: 20 minutes walk to Braga, 10 minutes ride to Sudirman Street. Easy and quick check-in and check-out for ACCOR members. Breakfast quite nice 8.5/10 and great restaurant's staffs The secure parking ticketing staff is nice Easy and enough parking lot.
Need to know: The swimming pool and the kids club are not too big Hotel's gym is not too big, but quite complete There is another payable gym on 2nd floor Deluxe room and Premier room have same size and equipments. The only difference is Premier room guest may get pick up and drop off to airport, train or bus station. There is no separate bath tub and shower. The shower is in the bath tub. Not recommended for senior and pregnant guest. It is quite risky in my opinion. Novotel Bandung uses water jug and water dispenser. I rather buy my own mineral water. But that's okay because I'm quite sensitive with the selection of water. The hotel only provided 1 person toileteries and slippers for twin beds room.
Need improvement: The smile, the hospitality and the agility of concierge and front office's staffs. Moving table in 1116 has a loose screw, it was so shaky. There was no staff at the entrance of spa and gym area The towels were torn out and already had greyish colour, not fresh white anymore. Beverages and cakes were too sweet for me
Thank you...
