When you find a cheap place to stay in Bandung, have cozy place, authentic, near hangout spot (Dago), this place can be your most option. With cheap rate you can get one clean & tidy bed on sharing room, large storage closet, one towel, clean room & bathroom, hot shower, toilet, and also you can get breakfast (optionally, charge excluded)
"But for your information, this hostel is Sharing Room. So for you that need more privacy I think this place is not for you. But for security of your belongings, this hostel provide you with large storage beside your bed."
It have cheapest rate on the near area, have a good & comfy bed & simple service. Open for check in almost 24 hours (negotiable). Have a good & relaxing courtyard with good & fresh vibes. There's also cafetaria here. But the most important thing is this place is near a lot of place that I think is important during your trip, like it's near ATM/Bank, Indomaret/Alfamart, Mosque, Warteg, Motorcycle rental, Hangout spot, Traditional market, and it's also near city center (30 minutes by walk/10 minutes by motorcycle)
So if I can say about this place is, The Room : 8/10 Service : 8/10 Place : 9/10 Access : 9/10 Ambient : 9/10
Overall it's awesome place to visit &...
Read moreBehind the busy Dago street, Garden Hostel could potentially become a unique experience. It had a lot to offer but didn't seem to pull things nicely. I stayed in the male dorm, a stilt wooden house in the middle of a lush tropical garden (interesting), with other 19 guests. While the amenities were fresh and working, the other guests seemed to be insufficiently on boarded about how to stay in a dorm. Apart from the behaviors, the dorm seemed to lack info on rules or ethics of staying in a dorm. Chaotic nights (I spent two nights) where guests quarreled on whether or not lights should be turned up to lack of breakfast plates because nobody seemed to care enough to wash their dishes. Staffs were not really helpful on this situation (they prefer to stay in office, located quite far from the dorm). So, either I was unlucky to get interesting roomates or the hostel could apply standard dorm techniques to 'educate' the seemingly-inexperienced guests. Other than that, Garden Hostel should be ideal for medium-long term stay because its location and facilities. Wifi could be improved though. I also overheard some guests who claimed they paid less than what I paid through an...
Read moreThis was my go-to place whenever I visit Bandung. It is located very strategically in Dago - everything you need are within walking distance (supermarket, restaurant, traditional market, hospital, cafe, etc). It has a dorm-room for women only, another dorm room for men only, and also some private rooms. I've been staying here several times because it was a peaceful, safe place for solo-traveling women. The dorm price is incredibly cheap, however the quality are worsened from time to time. The last time I stayed here, all the showers were either broken or having other problems; the staff didn't change the bed linens when new guest come; and some men even dared to intrude the all-women dorm (at that time, some of the women guests were muslims and they weren't wearing hijab when sleeping in the room, so it must be very uncomfortable for them. It was uncomfortable even for me, that was so disrespectful!) I have complained about those issues to the staff and hopefully they improve their service. Otherwise I will have to find other place to stay when I go to...
