Nongsa Point Marina & Resort — Hotel in Batam City

Stayed here for 1 day quarantine period (from Sg). This place is actually located in North East area of batam Island. It's secluded and near the nongsapura ferry terminal (currently being used as VTL between sg and batam).

Upon reaching the premise, you can see and feel that this resort is quite high end and mainly targeted towards tourist, but ever since covid happened, locals started to visit as well. The ambience is good, nothing dark but the receptionist table was lame. It's only wooden table with computer 🤔 maybe as a resort you can upgrade a little? It doesn't match with the high end feel tho 😂 staff gave me the keys to my room.

Yes, keys. This resort still use keys for locking the door, which is actually very unsafe. Other hotel already using digital lock and they still use keys 😰 i was very anxious even tho i only plan to stay for 1 day quarantine. The room is spacious, got a balcony as well but since I'm in quarantine, they won't open it for me. In total there's 2 floor only so don't expect any elevator to help you drag your luggage.

There's SATGAS in the premise to guard the quarantine people, so you will be expected not to leave your room at all.

The price for the room itself is IDR 800.000 Accomodation (foods and laundry) IDR 400.000 So in total your 1 day quarantine is IDR 1.200.000 the staff will help you to get your quarantine free doc from the govt office for the next day. It was very helpful since I'm not allowed to wander around.

I was disappointed with the room and the security system but the food was superb. If it's not of quarantine price, I wouldn't even bother to order it from room service. I arrived at 0400pm and almost dinner time.

Dinner Chicken curry, stir fry vegetables , rice and sliced fruits. Drink was warm water.

I was amazed by their curry. It was very tender and I'm very picky when it comes to curry, it's as if it's a fusion of indo and India curry. You can taste the freshness of herbs, it smells very good and not as spicy as you think it will be. Paired up with rice, it certainly fits well and complement each other. The stir vegetables was crunchy and not oily nor soggy as well. It helps to calm down the curry spice a bit. NO MSG since I don't get any diarrhea (my tummy is sensitive)

Breakfast Indonesian fried rice with chicken and sliced fruits. Drink was tea.

Never i thought i will be eating fried rice in the morning, what a heavy breakfast 😂 but it tasted so good, there's sunny side up on the top of the rice and there's no trace of MSG. The vegetables on the side was very fresh and crunchy, exactly resort quality.

Lunch Soto ayam (not clear Soto nor betawi) with stir fry vegetables and sliced fruits. Drink was tea.

Soto ayam was good, too good. One of the bestest Soto ayam I've ever tasted. It's not clear soup nor betawi type but it still use coconut milk to give off the authenticacy of the meal itself. It's not bad to pair it with rice but i feel that it's a little bit too much for me 😂 the lunch I can't finish since it got stir fry vegetables that I forgot to eat.

The fruits in general was sweet and fresh, they live up to your expectations. So I can say this resort is very good for your holiday but not for casual stay. It's very expensive for solo traveler like me 😂

Would i come back? Idk, it's a bit too pricey, unless it's family trip and it won't be as expensive.

First Impression(Stay 5D4N in Resort): Building&System Hotel: The Building design is combine between modern&Traditional. Has facilities complete like Bar, Restaurant, Small Supermarket & can also flexible charge into room if you are not enough bring cash. This resort accept any credit card,cash, debit and almost accept every credit card. System payment is straightforward & you must pay in advanced before you enjoy your stay + note your credit card only without add charge again(I.E: you must pay the total cost 5MIDR in advanced + They will noted your credit card number only);

People: Very patient although we have a lot of request that time & really flexible. So I'm really appreciated & thank you so much for your hospitality. People in here is very Friendly.

Food: I can consider very good for some Indonesian, Chinese , Italian foods; This restaurant is open 24h(you need to get re-confirm again ya); Keep clean for all foods especially for some bird will come to eat also ya, make sure you always have good cover kay..

Transport: Hotel has transport based on destination and each destination has different price. You also can choose 4H for round trip & the price is consider moderate is mean not so cheap & not so expensive.

Hotel Rooms: Consider clean as resorts; Pressure water (Hot & Cold) is really good; Toilet water pressure also good, provide two towel also & soap like usual. has deposit box too, has mini bar too, and place to hanging our cloths. Bed in here is really nice, i can sleep properly although there is my friends snoring very loud..

Views: Beautiful.. That's all..

Conclusion: Overall stay in here is really excellent experience. There is minor view that i saw & check like some ceiling is open a little bit, so please keep regular check & always maintain the good condition ya. Also you need to think how you can cover the foods to avoid birds is coming. So please keep clean & keep the good work and always maintain very well for the overall resorts ya..Clean is number one, so please...

Rooms and hotel are clean. Staff are very friendly but... (Remember we are here for three nights)

1 - twice house keeping took away our towels and didn't replace them, we had to call to get them.

2 - the place is in the middle of nowhere and there is no USEFUL convenience store (like a Cheers or 7-11). You might find this comment odd but, given there are lots of private villas around this is a strange omission. They also make it difficult to get Grab food here as they expect you to collect from the main gate which is up a hill and some distance away. All the other hotels I've stayed in allow delivery services to meet you at reception. (They will allow Grab taxi to reception)

3 - breakfast buffet eggs queue - there is either no one attending this cooking station OR the queue is literally 30 minutes long. We both gave up. Pro-tip: we later found out you can order eggs from the kitchen via the serving staff.

4 - Speaking of breakfast, did you buy the world's slowest toaster?!?! Not sure how many watts this uses but I'm pretty sure I saw someone die of old age whilst waiting for their toast.

5 - the sun loungers by the pool - there are FAR too few of them and they are FAR too uncomfortable, mostly due to age and sagging material.

7 - the internet connection here is OK. Speedtest shows an OK 20 meg and the WiFi coverage is good.

8 - you'll want to go to the other hotel (Turi Beach) for food (the Tepenyaki is good!). They will arrange free transport for you on demand.

9 - the bar by the pool doesn't open until 3pm. WHY?!?!!
