Amazon Seafood — Restaurant in Batam City

Tried Amazon seafood at Nongsa Batam. The restaurant is just next to Nongsapura ferry terminal. We ordered the crab fish maw soup, sambal prawns and mixed veg. I have to admitted Amazon seafood quality and freshness is way way below par. The crab fish maw soup doesn’t taste like any fishmaw soup and hardly any crab meat, the sambal prawns was pathetic and not fresh. Only plus that it’s next to ferry terminal and standards is below par and will never go back again. ( ** We tried Amazon Seafood, Love Seafood and Rezeki seafood during our trip and by far this is the worst restaurant)

Dining on the kelong is definitely worth an experience! It’s not a riverside nor a seaside, more of a mangrove swarm scenery which reminds me very much of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve in Singapore.

They have fresh seafood & quite tasty but do watch out for MSG because some dishes are really over seasoned with it.

Price points are slightly high but not too extreme, just be mindful to ask exactly how much the seafood costs as they have seasonal pricing. But yes I would recommend dining here at least once to experience it...

Tasty seafood on a restaurant thats on stilts overlooking a ferry jetty and a large metal bridge. Favourite place that we ate from in Batam. Me and my siblings had a great time at this restaurant. Staffs are kind and took their time to explain the dishes and adjust the flavour to make some dishes less spicy and others more. Fresh juice, beer all tasted good.
