Selera Restaurant — Restaurant in Batam City

We had breakfast at Selera Restaurant at Nongsa Point Marina & Resort. The spread was very basic — a mix of Indonesian, Chinese, and Western selections. Taste-wise, everything was just okay. Nothing stood out, but it was sufficient to fill us up for the morning.

The best part of the experience was the view. The restaurant overlooks the marina and sea, and having breakfast with the sound of waves and sea breeze made the otherwise average meal more enjoyable. Service was decent, and the area was clean, though food trays took a while to be refilled.

Ordered 3 mains veg and one starter. Fish main came out after 25 minutes with vegetables. Next main which was black bean beef came 20 minutes later along with tomato soup which was cold. Remaining main did not come despite it being first ordered and read back when checking the order..Not cheap, nice location, service terrible and never got food. Apology given but charged full price. Ruined my day. Place only had people at two more tables. Not busy. Shame as I liked the place and location but service terrible and then charged full price no complimentary drink.Cant see...

The food here is expensive for Batam standards, and it’s not very nice. My brother had the beef burger and the meat was tough. I had the chicken burger which was ok but definitely not worth the price. Would be cheaper even if you take a Grab/Gojek out for a meal.
