L'AMORE HOTEL — Hotel in Denpasar Barat

When we first went into the room we had booked for four days, the smell of mould was unbearable and we had to ask the staff to change our room which they did after a short while. The next one was even worse, it was full of mould and the smell was so bad we couldn't last 15 minutes inside. The carpets, sheets and floors were all stained and very dirty. The showers were a disgrace, with water flooding into the bedroom floors and carpets. The shower and tap water knobs were all rusted and the vents and AC openings were all filled with fluff which seemed like they had never been cleaned from when they had been installed. We politely complained to the staff immediately and explained that we would like a refund if possible as we would not be staying in that mess. They connected us to the owner which had little of interest to our concerns and said that we would not be refunded anything and that we could leave immediately as it would not matter for him. The staff don't have any fault in this as they were helpful from the beginning and they also explained that this was not the first time that something similar had occurred and that the owner simply doesn't care anymore about...

This hotel is not fit to host people in it the bathroom walls are all mouldy and the knobs in it are all rusty.When we flushed the toilet a stench of sewer water came out and was unbearable to smell.Room service is not present in this hotel the employee's are more concerned to play loud music in the reception than to clean the rooms.In the morning at 6.30 workers were brought to the hotel to fix a wall next to the pool were are room was situated and they started banging the hammer causing everyone too wake up. They also advertise a full channel list in which only two local channels were available.With the money we spent on this hotel we found better properties which were clean and had excellent hospitality which this hotel lacks. Overall it is a good hotel. Friendly stafs, large room, comfortable bed, shower and hot water works perfectly, clear tv channels and it has a swimming pool. To go to the hotel by car takes time cause it located on a oneway street so we have to take a detour, but it is a lovely quiet place - quite far from main street.

I think the most crucial matter in this hotel are just internal issues, that sometimes affect their service. Sad thing, compared to the staff's friendliness, they want to help but they can't do anything due to the management issues .... Had this hotel's management system works better, it might be one of best hotel I've ever...
