Good Soil Cafe — Restaurant in Kuta

This place has nice vibes and great for knocking out some work, but definitely had problems with the food and the dog located on site.

The place indicates that's its welcoming to dogs, but upon arrival with our pet-child, we were greeted by a super super aggressive dog that apparently stays on site. Was very uncomfortable, but we stayed after getting the dog to back off. The dog was def a menace!

Given that there was only one employee present, the service was lacking. Very friendly guy, but not very attentive, especially considering there were only 4 patrons max in the resto.

Unfortunately, much of the food items were not available, which is the reason why we were interested in this place. The avocado on the smash was Everly over ripened to the point it looked rotten.

Really hate the bad outweighed the good as we had high expectations of this place, but...

Visited for breakfast with 3 people and were the only guests, yet the service was incredibly slow. Each dish arrived with a 10-minute delay, with the first one taking 30 minutes to come out. In total, we waited nearly an hour for all three dishes. It’s hard to understand why a simple ham & cheese croissant and instant waffles from Indomaret would take 45 minutes to prepare.

We assumed there might only be one chef handling everything, but upon leaving, we saw more than five people in the kitchen.

To make matters worse, while the cafe plays background music, the staff in the kitchen blasts loud Indonesian music that overpowers everything in the dining area. It’s so loud that having a conversation is nearly impossible, completely ruining the atmosphere.

Now I’m back at the Coliving Space, and of course, also at the adjoining restaurant. It truly feels like coming home. The ambiance and the quality of the offerings at the restaurant have already been described in detail. What impresses me the most is that, after all these years of coming here, many of the staff members are still with the company. To me, this speaks to a strong company culture, and as a customer, it’s a pleasure to be recognized and greeted accordingly. A place like this makes you want to return, and it’s easy to feel comfortable here. The service is professional. My personal highlight remains Egg Benedict, and I’ve become almost addicted to it — even though everything else is just...
