As nice as the owners are, with very helpful staff, I cant possibly give this place more than 2 stars because there are several things that are seriously misrepresented and would make us look for a room elsewhere had we known them.. When you book this place on Expedia, Booking or even their own website, you have a choice of Villas to select from: Elegance Villa, Garden villa, Luxury villa. The only reason we decided to stay in this place is because supposedly we were getting a villa for the price of a hotel room. Yes, you are in the middle of nowhere, with no restaurants, not on the beach, in a a very typical busy suburb of Denpassar, 15 minute drive(not walk) to Sanur, where the beach and restaurants are. But a villa for the price of a regular hotel room might be worth it. As it turned out, there was only One Villa and we were buying a Room in it. Two of "villas" on the ground floor (rooms, in reality) had access to a small patio and a small swimming pool. That still doesnt make them villas. I have booked villas before, when you book a villa, you book a house, not a room in the house. When we made reservation the websites showed extra rooms that are adjacent to the bedrooms as if these were your living rooms, whereas in reality, its a common area that everybody staying there uses. The villa we booked was Villa Elegance that is about 650 sq feet, which is twice the size of a regular hotel room. In reality, its no bigger than regular room we stayed at Segara Village in Sanur ( 323 sq feet, also a balcony) Not sure what exactly they calculate into a room size, probably common grounds. The room had a huge wooden bed that took about 70% of the room space and one person would have to crawl on top of the other to get out of bed. The sink in the bathroom was also malfunctioning. So I asked to be moved to another room. They offered us a room on the second floor with a regular bed, it was very dark because of the small window, so they showed us another room which was directly on top of our original one, it had a balcony instead of a patio and had no access to pool. I said ok to this one but they said I had to pay extra 100 000 rupies a day because the bath tub in the new room also functioned as jakuzzi(same size tub but with holes in it) Ive argued for a while but they did not show any flexibility. So I said ok. $ 10 extra a day is not a bid deal, but considering this was an identical room, and we were the only guests for the next 3 days, this was rather unusual treatment. Then it turned out the upgraded price didnt include breakfast even though our original reservation did. So we had to pay extra again. Breakfast. The pictures of breakfast on the website looked good, so we booked a bed and breakfast option. But, as we found out there was a catch. Again. The breakfast that is included is basic. Very basic. For example. An American breakfast consists of a small fruit plate OR fruit juice(cant have both), 4 pieces of toast with butter and jam,(no croissant, this comes with another package) and tea or a regular coffee. If you want cappuccino, its extra. The breakfast that was included cost 55 000 rupies, BUT fortunately, there is also a Better breakfast package available, for 125 000 rupies, thats the one pictured on the website and that included eggs and bacon and two sausages. That kind of breakfast, by the way cost about 50 000 at any restaurant on the beach( 15 min drive) . PS. Smiling and laughing with guests is great but its not true hospitality, if at the same time you nickel and dime your guests at every corner. That ruins the very concept of a...

Read moreThe street view doesn't speak for the inside of the villa, don't let that discourage you from this beautiful experience. There are several rooms to choose from so if you're expecting a room based on pictures I would specify when booking. There are no elevators and the Wi-Fi connection is kind of weak but if you want authenticity then this is your place. They have a good breakfast, you can choose Balinese breakfast, American (fruit plate or juice, your choice of egg, bacon or sausage, and potato)or get cereal. The staff is so helpful and nice. They really make the experience more memorable. There is a pool table, ping pong table, cards, chessboard, darts, a yoga room with some weights and treadmill also the pool is even more beautiful in person. There are lizards and bugs but I only noticed them outside not in the actual room. The staff is awesome, they make you feel so welcomed and also found and planned our tour days. They booked us with the best tour guide ever! If you do tours id request the tour guide named I Made. I didn't want an Americanized regular hotel, I wanted to feel the culture and I didn't leave disappointed. I will miss this place. Also they have a villa cat...
