Read moreWe had such an amazing time at Second Floor Coffee! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made our way to a cosy table. Our waiter, Bayu, made the experience extra special – he explained their unique approach (no sugar, oat milk only) and asked what coffee we usually enjoy before recommending something new. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in our holiday, sparking great conversation that made us feel so welcome.
On his recommendation, we tried the Fresamentado (coffee, strawberry, and milk) – unlike anything we’ve ever tasted! Smooth, perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. Our flat white was also spot on, rich and smooth with a slightly darker roast profile that was phenomenal. Bayu even took the time to explain how to properly serve and enjoy the coffee, which was such a fun and interesting touch.
It was so good that we had to try another signature drink – the Mankay (coffee with mango, served black). We usually drink coffee with milk, but this was incredible – smooth, tangy, and refreshing. We also enjoyed a slice of apple crumble cake which was delicious.

Read more11/10 experience! I tried the Fresamentado, Mankay, and a flat white, paired with the apple pie, and I can confidently say this was the best coffee I’ve ever had. Each cup absolutely blew me away — not just in flavour but in the way it gave me the chance to experience coffee on a completely new level. Smooth, complex, and brewed to perfection, it felt like a true masterclass in speciality coffee.
The apple pie was equally impressive — beautifully made, with great texture and flavour that paired perfectly with the coffee. It wasn’t just a dessert on the side, it felt like it had the same level of care and attention as the drinks themselves.
The staff were fantastic. Bayu, who served me, spoke excellent English and was incredibly friendly. He took the time to explain the different beans and methods, and even recommended specific coffees based on my taste preferences. His passion and knowledge really elevated the whole experience, turning it from just a coffee stop into something genuinely memorable.
The atmosphere inside matched the quality of what was served: relaxed yet vibrant, the kind of place where you can properly slow down and savour what’s in front of you.
