It's not the first time I chose Grand Keisha as my place to stay in Yogyakarta, but this time it's truly special.
Starting with the Sales Team (represented by Endra). My current 8-day trip was a sudden, unplanned one. I contacted the hotel reservation only a day before I arrived, and they responded very promptly— giving me a very affordable offer for a long 1-week stay.
Now about the Restaurant Team. During breakfast, my routine is to simply get 2 poached eggs. But there were such a variety of food options (especially local food, which I like) every day that I ended up always getting myself a full meal. And yes, all of their buffet dishes are that good. So I never get bored for the whole 8 days. And then, one really nice thing I noticed was how the Restaurant Team members were always on standby— they cleaned up our dirty plates quickly so our table looked clean most of the time, and cleaned up any spilled food in the buffet line almost right away. Plus, I got complimentary oxtail soup for my last day. Not to mention, the restaurant hostess (Ms. Luluk) greeted me by name, in such friendly way!
The security team's teamwork has also amazed me. Every single one of them were very alert and responsive, and how they communicated effectively to find every single guest (since entering the front gate) their own parking space was impressive. It's always crowded at night but I never had to spend time looking. I could just enter the gate and ask where should I park my car, and a security guard would lead us to the nearest spot and also help us park.
Tim Public Relation, Front Office, and House Keeping. One time during breakfast, a PR team member reached out to my table and asked about any suggestions or feedbacks about my stay at Grand Keisha. At that moment, I complained about my shower being in very low pressure. The PR member said maintenance will visit my room within few hours, and right on time they did. The Engineering and House Keeping Team both came, fixed the pressure to what I wanted, all in under 15 mins (with me in the room too)!
Overall, there's much to appreciate. To Mrs. Laras (representing the PR and Front Office Department), thank you very much for the complimentary afternoon tea (it's very delicious, and pretty). Every attention given by this hotel for my family has left such a kind impression on my heart, and especially with this next case.
A day before checking out, my husband's glasses fell down the rainfall drain. I asked for help and a few security guards came immediately (one of them Mr. Laswi, another is a man but I didn't catch his name) along with Front Office Manager Ms. Sonia. They opened the drain, but the water was too deep for anyone to reach by hands. Eventually the Engineering Team came too (Mr. Punto, Mr. Bambang, Mr. Endra, Mr. Deddy, and Mr. Pras) and with their help, the glasses was finally retrieved. I'm so grateful for the thoughtfulness, and their teamwork deserves a lot of praise.
Personally, I think a hotel that a customer will always miss is a hotel with great service— one that listens and quickly acts, and one that always gives the best experience no matter how detail. Grand Keisha fulfills all that with sincerity. Once again, thank you for a very enjoyable 8-day stay. I will hope to...
Read moreFirst time staying here to be honest, overall experience is just okay. Bed was comfy but the pillows weren't, as it was down filling (to each his/her own). Didn't get the breakfast included as I was unsure if it were to my liking. So as I went down to take a look see, the staff's reaction to my being there was a bit of a surprise, really. I felt like her reaction was a bit too much, as if I was not supposed to be there, due to my room not being on the list. I quickly told her, don't worry, I will pay should I decided to dine...kinda weird I have to say that.. As it turns out, the platter of food offered weren't to my liking and I decided not to forego further.
Room was clean, but other than that, the service could be up the ante, to make ones customer feel welcome. Even if one did not opt to get the breakfast included option.
Won't be staying for the second time.. But that's just me, and I sure don't speak for the mass of others that do enjoy staying there.
Thank...
Read moreGrand Keisha is a 4 star hotel in Jogjakarta, located in Ringroad, and close to Hartono Mall Jogjakarta is a plus one for this hotel. But, if you’re going to Jogja for shopping in Bringharjo Market i don’t recommend this hotel for you, because this hotel is far from Malioboro, around 45minutes by car in normal traffic. The location of this hotel is good. The check in process is good and quite fast, but sadly when I was here they can’t allow me to do an early check in, even though it’s just 1 hour ahead from the check in time, they said that the room at the day was full, but I don’t think so. The room is spacious and perfect and also well maintained. The other plus one for this hotel is their rooms have good sound proofing. The toiletries and amenities is complete and nice. The shower room also well maintain. They have kids pool and adult pool which is good, even the size is not quite large for 4 star hotel. Breakfast is delicious and they offer many...
