We stayed four nights in Room 607 - away from the noise and elevator. We stayed over the Chinese New Year holidays and so hotel was less crowded which was great. Less traffic on the roads too.||||Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Bathroom shower stall walls needed a major scrub - otherwise there was hot water, water pressure was fine, and space was enough for two. Bring your own amenities as this is a 3 star hotel and one can't expect much. Staff at reception speak decent English and are helpful. Breakfast was average - I would opt for the rice and noodles and general Indonesian fare as these were prepared fresh daily. Their bread and croissants seemed hard & perhaps a bit stale. They could have varied their sliced fruit options. However, we bought some dragon fruit and the staff at breakfast were happy to cut it in half for us. Good service without a doubt.|| ||Outside Avissa you walk into 'grot central' - basically the roads aren't clean and I wouldn't recommend looking into the open drains. However, if you don't mind the 3rd world roadside grot and are wearing good walking shoes, it can be an experience. ||||There is a spa opposite Avissa called South Heritage - cheaper than most places and very clean - BUT note that you will need to pay in cash. There is a card machine but it is only for Indonesia cards. We had a decent Indonesian oil massage and full body scrub there.||||There are a few malls within walking distance where you can get food and almost anything! ||||Avissa itself is comfortable, centrally located and worth the...

Read moreAt first I had doubt. But when I enter the room, the room was spacious. It even has 1 sofa and table. One thing that I disappointed was when I opened the curtain, there was a construction at the same level. So, I can't open the curtain at night to enjoy the view, otherwise they can see me. And a little noise from their works. I guess I'm just get unlucky. But in the future, perhaps my room won't be able to see the city again.||The laundry is available but no same day service. So, be careful. But it's free of charge. And they didn't provide bag, instead we put our laundry on the box just outside near the door room. And you'll find your clean laundry there afterwards.||For the meal, the restaurant is small. A bit cramped. The food choices is limited, but they tasted good. And they kept changing the menu. That's good.||In front the hotel you can find small minimarket that open 24 hours. And plenty of food choices.||There are a couple of Mall near the hotel, within walking distance, such as Lotte, ITC, Mall Ambassador and...
