Was on a business trip and my local contact helped booked the accommodation. The original furnishings and furniture were top class but it is poorly maintained. Beddings are dirty and stained. Curtains are dusty and clearly have not been washed for a long time. Toilet bowls & washbasins are stained as well. I stayed in a junior suite Room 214 which is in front of the mosque. The room's aircon was set for 2hours and could not be reset. Rooms are not soundproof so early prayer times of the mosque located behind this room will serve as your morning call at 5am. I was offered another room on the ground floor and was told to bath outside of the bath tub. Room ceilings were moldy and has a damp rotten smell which clearly is harmful to the human body. I'm surprised the hotel manager thinks it's ok to suggest I move into this room. Standard rooms face the highway so one can expect to be impacted by constant traffic passing into the wee hours as experienced by my friend. I was offered a suite room for a few nights but had to move out because it was booked by another guest moving in. Eventually I opted to change to a smaller hotel operated by RedDoors where I enjoyed cool aircon, tv programs, undisturbed sleep. DO NOT RECOMMEND Mutiara Suites...

This kind of hotel doesn't have sufficient SOP. I book a room few weeks ago. By the time of check in, the receptionist left the desk when i enter my pin on the EDC machine. The EDC machine didn't prints the receipt directly, by the time the receptionist back to the desk it says "remove card" in the EDC screen, so the receptionist made another transaction on the EDC machine because he said the last transaction wasn't valid. So they charged me twice and it took 2 weeks for them to refund my money. all the stuffs were not helpful when I ask about my money refund. I had to call several times for days until they finally gave me confirmation...

The inside was dimly lit all over: living room, bedroom, bathroom, including the section of the corridor in front of our unit. No extra lighting except tiny leds on the ceiling. It was quite hard on the eyes.
The handle on one side of the bedroom door was broken so we had to make sure we didn't close the door otherwise we'd need someone to open it from the outside.
The place was said to accommodate 3 people but there were only 2 of everything: no extra bed/towel/bottled water/plates/glasses/cups.
