Twin House Cipete — Restaurant in Jakarta

First impression? Disappointed. Will never be back anytime soon.

(6/03/22) My family of 9 came at 9am and we were here until around 1pm. Obviously we kept ordering lots of food and drinks until even an additional family came at 11am and we ordered again.

When we weren't finished and were chatting, suddenly the waiter came and gave the bill even though no one asked. I'd understand if we had been there for a long time, but we kept ordering food, right?

We were shocked and confused because this seemed to drive us away :( Our family's mood was ruined and decided to left after paying more than 1,5 million.

As someone who is working in the hospitality f&b industry. I understand the boundaries of overstaying at a table- but when a guest is still finishing items they paid money for, you leave them alone, or at the very least- ask politely or inform the guest at arrival if there is table time limit/minimum payment for longer stay.

Place was also not crowded and there were still many empty tables.

Why 5-stars? Bcs I understand how f&b runs and don't want to ruin your "reputation" for years.

The food and coffee were decent. Nothing special, sorry. Good ambience, though. Helpful staff.

Secluded location which is off the main road. Cute restaurant with garden area which is strung with string lights in the evening. The exterior of the restaurant is distinctive with its yellow frames panels which makes a good photo spot. Cozy interior. Good parking space.

They have a wide variety of menus including the option of shirataki for those on a diet (like me when I visited) so I replaced the rice in my Nakula Rice with shirataki which probably made it less tasty as the original.

Tried the Dory with spinach and potato - the sauce was too thin for my taste. The dory tasted okay but not as succulent as it should be.

The Garlic Fries was a bit too bland for my taste. The garlic flavor was indistinguishable.

Waffle with ice cream and biskoff was okay.

Fair price like any other similar cafe - around Rp. 70k for most dishes.

When me and my daughter arrive on friday 2nd march its lunch time and some spaces are booked by shooting for an adv...so we got spaces in smoking areas..the good one is this area can be closed and turn on the ac. also we expecting the playground outside the cafe is clean but unfortunately its not. The food presentation is good thing and the taste was actually not bad...but i couldnt say that its special. In the end when i want to settled the bill... i can not use my bca debit card becos they said there's something wrong with the machine? Unfortunately i dont have any credit card, but Lucky i have another debit card...but what if i dont have? And i dont have any cash money?? I should walk to the atm machine????????? And they dont have any wifi!!!!! They said its been fixing but it doesnt work????.... Shall i go back here?? I...
