ABUBA Steak - Cipete — Restaurant in Jakarta

I went to cipete branch on 27 april for dinner. I ordered the lamb chop as in the menu it says that it is tender and juicy.my lamp chop is of new zealand meat.my hubby ordered chicken steak.we waited for quite long and wonder how come we ordered first hiw come the customet that came later than us got their order first.so we asked the waitress and she checked.it came a gew minutes later.my husband chicken steak first than later my lamb chop.it looked so delicious.but once i startes to cut my lamp chop, it was so hard to cut.than when started to eat it iwas hard..not tender as said in the menu.but just to avoid any discomfort i just ate in and throw part of it was it was so rubbery.i was very very disappointed. So i asked for the bill and told the cashier about it.she said i can change it if its hard to chew and usually the waitress will inform.that when they serve the customer.i told her i was not told about that in the beginning.the waitress just served the food and apologize for the the lateness.i was not told that if there is anything wrong with the meal i can change it.i see may customer having a hard time cutting the meat.after i left i went home not as a happy customer..i believed in abuba but after 27 april dinner..i will not come back.the staff can only apologize and do nothing to compensate.really a big...

ABUBA has always consistently been a disappointing experience for me. For their price point, you would expect a more tastefully cooked steak.

Everytime I've been here they've managed to make what could be an appetizing slice of protein into a really chewy and oily and tasteless piece of meat + a lazily cooked mix of vegetables (with too much corns) + so so potato wedges. And do not forget their sauce to mask the tasteless steak they've cooked.

You get a vibe of an uncannily imitated steakhouse(?), there's somehow a sense of 'ok this is where tasty steaks are made' but always with a hint of unpolished vibe/atmosphere/service to me. Maybe this is to cater to the more general population (which I'm not against doing at all, if only they were more honest and straightforward about it).

Got three stars (more like 2.75) because my family love going here and this is a go to place to eat an at least acceptable steak around the area (would've given them two). To people reading this: just order their fish and chips, it's cheaper and way tastier than their steaks. You'll...

after an absence of 10 years , we went back to Abuba , cipete raya for lunch it turned out to be a great disappointment ; We remembered Abuba as a real fantastic place and it used to be so popular then , that we could hardly find a place in the street to park our car in those days ;

However , when 3 of our party already finished our meal the meal for # 4 party was finally served ; moreover 2 of us ordered the same tenderloin steak there was such a difference in the appearance and quality , that I decided to send my meal back to the kitchen ; my steak was thin with hardly any red meat visible and a lot of fatty rubbish , I would call that afkir ; when the replacement steak came it was not much better so at this point i decided to give up and send this second plate back too .; it is truly ashamed to serve this kind of quality ; a complete disappointment and not an incentive to ever return to Abuba..
