RedDoorz @ Jagakarsa 2 — Hotel in Jakarta

Pros - Cheapest place in town we could find. TV and Internet worked fine. Air conditioning & hot water. Clean bedsheets and towels. The bidet hose squirted water with such breathtaking force that I now check every single one I use first.

Cons - Dirtiest bathroom I have ever paid money to enter. The sink isn't plumbed in at all. Has no water pipe going to it and no pipe below the plug. It's attached to the wall by red sticky tape. This applied to all 3 rooms we rented (6 people).

Owner is clearly breeding mosquitos as a hobby. Every room was filled with them before we entered, and just hours after fumigating the place with spray they were back, coming up the drain holes and in through the poorly attached mesh on the 'windows' which are just holes in the wall with no glass. Outside there are pools of standing water both in front and behind every room. One of the mossies in the bathroom was so big it challenged me to an arm wrestle.

The only items in the room were 2 towels and a mildly threatening price list of how much we would be charged (On top of the deposit.... which was more than the price of the room) for various items. They want £7.80 if you steal the 'do not disturb' sign. No such...

The room is spacious, the hot water running smoothly, but the air conditioner didn't work well, room temperature's heating up.
