RedStar Hotel — Hotel in Jakarta

I booked via Agoda and among 3 star hotels in Jakarta, yes the price is competitive. However I was totally disppointed of my room and breakfast buffet during my stay here...the bed cover had stains and the sink at the toliet was also dirty. Furthermore, the size of room was pretty small for the South-East Asia standard, when comparing with the 3 hotels in Thailand or Vietnam that I've been to. The breakfast buffet served Indonessian style mostly, nothing much for me to eat. If you take a cab you can reach the downtown in 20 mins. Bear in mind tjat the surrounding area is just where local people live and run their business(street food vendors mostly) and nothing to do for tourist. Overall I would recommend that paying $10 more per night and find better 3...

The location of this hotel is great, it's close to restaurants, local food and entertainment. It's also 10 minutes' walk to Mangga Besar train station. However, the internet connectivity is unstable and slow, can't even strong enough to connect to Youtube. The water pressure is not strong, and air con is slow to cool down. Worst hotel ever in my whole entire life. I was staying at room 201 from 8 to 11 Nov and I have no hot water and wifi throughout the 4 days during my stay. On the 10th I asked the front desk lady if I could change the roomand she gave me excuses not to do it. She told me ok she will get someone to fix it (twice verbally, morning and afternoon) but never. She also gave me a long face, such person should be fired.
