Magnolia Hotel — Hotel in Jakarta

The hotel is a bit far from main road, situated in housing area of mangga besar, we have difficulty locating it as the airport taxi driver not familiar with the place.there are "bajai' if you need a quick and cheap transport out to surrounding area, and you can also walk on foot to the main road less than 10 minutes.Can't get a decent restaurant around the area but there is a lot of street hawkers along the way, if you dare enough to try!. The deluxe room are spacious with comfy bed and air conditioner are working well. You can also get a nice hot shower.The hotel also provide you with complimentary instant noodle, some biscuit and coffee on daily basis.The room comes with unbelievable self operated DVD player loaded with recent movies and the WIFI is free in the room but try to get a room nearer to the reception as you get uninterrupted signal or on the second floor room. The only thing bothering me is you can hear footsteps upstairs as the floor are made of wood which can disturbed your sleep otherwise the area is quite as jungle.There is no laundry service available but can look for it just around the corner, which they will charge a higher price if you need to get it done fast or else you need to wait for another day.The front desk is helpful to your need.It's worth as a budget hotel for traveler and I will...

We spent a week in a deluxe room for a reasonable price. The staff picked us up from the airport and helped arrange taxis when we needed them. As far as location goes its hard to say where's good in such a big city. We were close enough to walk to a few malls, a supermarket and local street food stalls and felt reasonably safe doing so. Breakfast was not included but the staff gave us water, instant noodles and tea/coffee. The room included a fridge and kettle. And a decent tv so we could watch our own movies. The bathroom wasn't overly clean and the room wasn't serviced daily but the staff probably would do this if you asked. They respected our privacy and did not interrupt us unless we asked for something. The wifi was good. When we struggled to find a place in town that could do our laundry in less than 4 days, the hotel happily did it for free in half a day! We had a great stay and thank the staff...

I used to frequent this hotel since 2011. Thru all the years I like the place and the personalize attention by the Owner Mr. Raymond.||Location is in the residential area and walking at night may be scary but because it is close to the Rayon Commando Militer headquarter you feel safe. Its about 10-15 minutes walk to the Mangga Besar Raya road and Lokasari area and not easily located by taxi. During this latest stay of mine, I was cheated by a Bluebird taxi I rode from the Gambir train station pretending not to know the place. So print a map from the hotel and get the mobile phone of Raymond in case you need to be pick up in the airport (charged). Their service is generally ok but lately its getting not so admirable.
