Unfortunately we don't have good memories related with this place. It is a fact the price is low and we didn't expected anything great, expecially as we are backpacking. The room was nice but not clean, full of others people hairs. Toilet also could be cleanier. Although this wouldn't be a problem and I woundn't write review. The biggest issue for me are people who made us feel scamed. First we had to pay 50k for the drive to the ferry. Even when all other hostels in the area seem to do it for free(due to misunderstanding we assumed that our drive is also for free, but I believe this is because of language mistakes ) . But also we have been told that the best way to get to Ubud is to take big bus before the ferry(as this bus go straight without stopping) . They told us that we can't get such a bus after the ferry (which turned out to not be true as other people get into the bus after ferry and paid less than we did). In the end they told us to get out in Mengwi Bus Terminal where we can catch bus to Ubud which also wasn't true(in the end we had to take another bus to go to the destination of our first bus and there take third bus to Ubud). In overall the accommodation was not so bad(breakfast was very good) but treatment not so well( I really don't like when people lie to me). I suggest to choose another place in the area, where you can find many similar accomodstions but with more...
Read moreSo this place was a huge bummer. It’s only $8 USD/night, and it wasn’t even worth that. The toilet didn’t flush, the sheets smelled as if they’d been HEAVILY febreezed instead of washed, the outlets didn’t work, the proprietor slept on a mattress outside our door, we were locked in at night so had to scramble over a gate to see the sunrise. ||Also, it should be noted that this is NOT a tourist friendly area. There are almost no places to eat in town, and most places wouldn’t serve us. Honestly if you’re not into Mt. Ijen or another adjacent adventure,...
Read moreThis homestay cant recommend. I spent here 1 night and it was enough. The owners are little bit weird people, communication in english was confused. The most important are for the people the money. The trip to Ijen with this people was less then average. No information from the guide, but good price. Also price for the night here is very small. The location of this place is very good - the beach is close to hotel. For one night staying can be good place, but If I go back to Banyuwangi, I prefer other place, because other indonesian people are more...
