A recent visit to 12bArs Coffeeshop presented an interesting blend of coffee experiences, embodying a charming atmosphere and evident potential.
Starting with their espresso-based drinks, the Piccolo I ordered was well-prepared. However, the espresso leaned towards the acidic side, overshadowing the milk's sweetness. Transitioning to a lower-acidity coffee could create a smoother balance and enhance the overall taste.
The standout experience at 12bArs was unquestionably their manual brew coffee. Prepared meticulously via the V60 method, I sampled two types of beans. The first, Ijen coffee beans, carried a pleasant chocolate aftertaste, though the anticipated Longan notes were regrettably elusive. The second, Chévas Fresca Geisha Coffee, was the crown jewel. The complex fruity notes were splendidly vibrant in every sip, making the premium price worthwhile.
The baristas' skill and passion shone brightly in each cup of coffee served, adding a personal touch to the experience. Particularly commendable was the presence of a female barista, an encouraging sign of increasing diversity in the specialty coffee sector.
However, there were several areas that could be improved upon. Firstly, meals were unavailable until 15.00, a potential inconvenience for patrons hoping to enjoy lunch along with their coffee.
Secondly, the selection of coffee beans on my visit was somewhat limited, with only four types on offer. A broader range could cater to more diverse tastes and underscore their commitment to specialty coffee.
A notable absence was in-house roasted beans. The introduction of their own roasted beans would be a significant addition, complimenting the baristas' skill set and potentially fostering greater brand loyalty among customers.
Lastly, the seating at 12bArs may not be ideal for all patrons. The chairs were not particularly accommodating for plus-sized individuals, which could be uncomfortable for those planning to stay for extended periods, particularly if intending to work.
In conclusion, 12bArs Coffeeshop is a promising café with clear strengths and room for improvements. With attention to these areas and a continued emphasis on their commendable manual brews, the café could mature into a premier destination for coffee enthusiasts. As it is, 12bArs offers a pleasing experience, especially for those who appreciate the craft of...

The coffee shop was clean, hip with polished concrete benches and little traffic noise. The bathroom could do with a clean and a renovation. A few tables inside and stools on the footpath for overflow or those that...
