Red Beach Homestay — Hotel in Java

We found David’s place after having been rejected at the place we made the booking originally and it was probably the best thing possible because this Homestay is perfect. David and Ari welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. It was so great that we extended our time here for 2 more nights. I could not recommend this place enough. The hosts will do everything they can to help you or assist you in your journey. The Homestay has a backdoor access to the beach and is close to many warung and grocery stores.

Ari will cook the best meals and breakfast (the latter is included with the room). Our room had AC and private bathroom and a terrace which was perfect.

SOLO TRAVELLERS STAY HERE!!!! Dave and Ari are amazing. Ari cooks the most delicious food and Dave is just a sick guy :). The one day that I stayed I experienced so much and wish I could have stayed longer! I had a bad allergic reaction to peanuts on the night that I stayed (not from Ari’s cooking ofc) but had to go to the nearby hospital 20 minutes away. Dave most likely saved my life because he took me to the hospital and communicated to the doctors (who mostly spoke bahasa) and it all ended up ok. He even took me to the train station 2 hours away and organised the tickets for the NEXT...

A true homestay. I've never felt like I was sharing a house as much as I did here. A double edged sword, for sure. Not as clean or as tidy as an empty bungalow (because, you know, people actually live here), but with loads of character. Even though you're a five minute walk from a nice quiet beach, where you can surf till your heart's content, the real attraction of this homestay has to be David. He knows how to make you feel at ease, and provides all the hospitality you could ever ask for. A quiet, dark room with AC makes sure you'll sleep...
