Blue waves Hostel Amed — Hotel in Kecamatan Abang

Cons:

The hostel room was mostly booked by a group who were diving, and they treated the place like it was their house.

To be specific, speaking loudly all night, playing video games on their phones, music, and openly ‘farting’ loud and laughing.

Keeping the bedroom light turned on all while coming and going from the balcony (just outside the room) and talking/laughing/eating. They then woke me up at 6am and did everything again. I tried speaking to them but they only spoke Indonesian it seems. They were married to each other too.

This was the worst hostel experience I have had in Bali as a solo traveller.

Pros:

The woman who owns the hostel seems efficient and the cafe downstairs looked very good.

The balcony has a nice view of the sea (although this is the common area and next to the room).

The parking is safe and I had no problems with my scooter.

Convenient place if diving as you can wake up and go downstairs to start the dive with the adjacent company.

I would not recommend this hostel as a solo person. But it would be a good hostel if diving as a group, and staying here as it’s conjoined to the dive place (although separately owned).

What a lovely hostel! It's super cozy, the rooms are always clean, and the beds are really comfy. But the best part is the staff, they're always smiling, super helpful, and make you feel like you're at home with family. I was honestly sad to leave after meeting such amazing people.

Absolutely fantastic, clean, safe, comfortable and in an unbeatable location. You’re mere meters away from phenomenal snorkling that’s safe and gorgeous. The beds have curtains, perosnal electric outlets, lighting and shelf space, so I enjoyed a nook of personal space and a sense of privacy for a week here. A little pod to chill out in.
