Sama Sama Amed — Restaurant in Kecamatan Abang

My experience at this accommodation was truly satisfying!

✔ Delicious Breakfast & Recommended Menu The breakfast was tasty, and I highly recommend the Black Pepper Chicken and Crispy Chicken from the beachfront restaurant.

✔ Great Location & Convenience The accommodation is just a 3-minute walk from a snorkeling spot, making it very convenient to enjoy the ocean. The rooms were clean, the bedding was fresh and cozy, and daily cleaning kept everything spotless.

✔ Friendly Staff & Thoughtful Service The staff were always welcoming with warm smiles, making our stay even more pleasant. They also provided helpful tips when renting life jackets, which was very useful.

✔ Unforgettable Hospitality We stayed for nine days, and on the last day, my child suddenly fell ill. The accommodation owners were incredibly supportive and helped us handle the situation. I was flustered and didn’t know what to do, but the owner even made porridge for my child and took care of us like family. I am deeply grateful for their kindness.

✔ Stunning Ocean View & Cozy Atmosphere Spending time on the spacious terrace with an ocean view on the second floor was a highlight of our stay. If you book this place, I highly recommend choosing a room with an ocean view!

✔ Convenient Facilities & Small Joys There’s an affordable market nearby, making it easy to buy essentials. Plus, the accommodation has an adorable cat that our children absolutely loved.

Our family of 5 stayed in the Standard Family Room & it was fantastic! The bigger kids (9 & 15) slept in bunk beds & my husband and I had the large double bed with the 2 year old in the middle. However there was a sofa bed style couch that a third child could sleep on if needed. ||What to say about the location ? It’s bananas! You literally have breakfast in the restaurant & can walk straight into the ocean and snorkel! Located near restaurants/bars/supermarkets/warungs & local market shops. Definitely worthwhile hiring scooters and going for a drive through the mountains & villages too.|Loved our time here & would stay here again !||Only negative was that the family room had a lot of steep stairs which could be difficult if you have a few young children /luggage/prams/mobility issues etc but the staff were super helpful with our luggage & they do have other rooms on lower levels.||Excellent wifi & aircon & room was very clean. Included breakfast was a selection of eggs & toast or pancakes & a choice of iced coffee or iced tea plus a fruit...

Strangest restaurant ever!!!!! -1 star if that was possible. They wanted to charge us to “rent” the table for lunch.

Walked in to each lunch and when we wanted to sit at a table to order and each lunch the first thing the guy working there told us was the table is “for rent” and wanted to charge us 50k to “rent” the table so we could order from there menu and each lunch. I even asked him 2 more times just to double check that I understood correctly. And yes he said if we want sit at the table in the restaurant and order food from their restaurant menu we had to “rent” the table.

Also the restaurant was empty expect for 1 family sitting there so it’s not like they were busy. See my picture below.

I have never heard or seen this before. Such a strange concept for a restaurant and a very poor business model.
