Sunshine Bungalows,Restaurant & Spa — Hotel in Kecamatan Abang

We have spent a great moment there, with a wonderful service by nice people. One of the best welcome ritual of Bali (seasonal fruit juice and a foot massage). The hotel itself is well maintained although bathrooms need to be modernized. Service - Great service from nice people there, they are many local and family members working hard to maintain the hotel and provide great service. They call you by your name and they always here to help. Hotel - The hotel is organized in a Balinese traditional way, with garden, temples and swimming pool in the middle and rooms around. Different types of rooms some with 2 beds that can be put together to make a king size bed, as one bed is relatively small for 2 people. It is very clean. However the bathrooms need comple redesign and renovation although they are clean too. Swimming pool is small but enough to enjoy, and they is one for kids too. They is a surf board you can use. The SPA is a bit expensive but they have regular promotions, I tested the foot massage which was great, the therapist is very skilled and knew reflexology points very well (you can ask to be softer if you are not used to). The hotel can arrange for a scooter/bike rental for RP 60k which is a fare price. Restaurant - The restaurant is great, not expensive relatively to other places and food is of good quality too; they have catch of the day fish and if not fresh of the day they would tell you of you prefer something else (chicken is the something else). They also provide a mosquito repellent. The breakfast is the most complete we had in Bali: you get both fresh fruit and the homemade seasonal fruit juices, among hot plates of your choice. Surrounding - The beach is beautiful, no fisherman boats in front of this hotel! That is nice as you can walk and enjoy the view compared to other hotels in the area. I can't rate this hotel high enough, its way way exceeding my expectations. Its truly is my best finding so far. Beach is right in front of my door, pristine water with swimable distance of diving/snorkeling spots. Clean tempting infinity pool, with kids pool, facing the ocean which I and my two kids can't get enough of it. Beautiful tropical garden as u can imagine. Everything is much better in real than the pictures. The room is massif and immaculately clean, stocked with bottles of water, minibar, fruit selections all for free! Bathroom is huge, with bathtub and amenities. Descent breakfast selection. The area itself , Amed & surrounding, is endless to explore; beach is on one side, while on the other side is a mountain, ricefield, river, you name it, all bali's best nature has to offer. Views is breathtaking. Food at their restaurant on the beach is second to none! I always had dinner there on my entire stay, among many other restaurant options steps away from the hotel. All freshly cooked and delicious. Their grilled Mahi-mahi is must try. ||I managed to join their free guided hiking activities, passing through spectacular tracks amongs the mountains, rivers, temple, and ricefields (see pic). It litreally blown me away this area has so much to offer. And I got much more than what I paid for. ||Above all, the staff is truly highlight of this jewel. They go above and beyond to assure my memorable stay. So friendly and polite with genuine smile on their faces, call me by name at all time, gracious, always make sure I have anything I needed and never let me missed my schedule doing this and that. I would say, they invented higher bar of hospitality, even if compared to Bali's standard which is already high. Praise the team who definetely knew, by heart, what they are doing. Since we were picked up at Denpasar airport by Nengah we felt the warmth of Indonesian hospitality. Everything during our stay was perfect. From the very first moment the staff asked us our name and always called us by name, this is a small thing but it makes you feel at home.||The hotel is right on the beach and it is a perfect location for snorkeling and swimming.|The breakfast is good and the restaurant serves good Indonesian food at a fair price. Almost everyday the hotel offers some free activities for the hosts: hiking, cooking demonstrations, massage and so on; all the activities are fun and enjoyable.|The room is big and comfortable, clean and there is air conditioning. |I recommend booking all the activities and tickets from the hotel because they don't overcharge like other hotels but often their prices are better then the prices you can find in other places (for example pick up from the airport and boat to Gili).|The staff is incredibly friendly: during my boyfriend's birthday they made a cake for us and brought it to the beach singing happy birthday to you (we didn't ask for that, it was their initiative).||The hotel looks far better than in photos, if you doubt where to go in Amed just book a room at sunshine bungalows; we left 3 days ago and already miss Sunshine bungalows and its...
