Beautiful views for dinner during sunset. You’ll be seated upstairs if the restaurant is not too crowded. The food is an excellent example of Balinese cuisine. The crispy fried duck is a specialty. Served as a half-duck with rice and veggies and traditional Balinese chilis. We got their Chicken Noodle Soup, a play on Soto Ayam. What brought out the flavors were the Amed Salt, pepper and chili flakes served alongside our meal. The Amed salt is special to the salt-producing region. Salt crystals come from the ocean and are dried for 10 days, creating beautiful rectangular shapes. Enhances flavors so well. We also ordered their Sate Ayam (Chicken barbecued on a stick) and their Cumi Cumi baker (barbecued squid) - both came with special chili sauce, a cone of rice shaped with banana leaf, sautéed veggies (bean sprouts and diced beans with coconut shavings,) and fresh cucumber and tomato slices. Their fresh watermelon juice was delicious. We paid with cash, not sure if they took credit card.

WOW! Lovely restaurant run by a very welcoming family. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. They undercharge for what you receive. I ordered the half angry duck - possibly the best crispy duck I’ve had. My boyfriend ordered the tempeh fried rice - wow the tempeh was made in house and beyond delicious. We watched the sunset over the valley from the second floor and were the only table of the night. When we asked them to call a taxi for us back to our hotel, our waiter drove us back free of charge and told us it is included for dining with them. Obviously we tipped any way. This is a rare gem of a restaurant. Anyone who comes to Amed must dine here! I wish I could bring them back to New York City with us!!

Their food never fails to please my taste buds. The veggies are fresh and the traditional sambal matah is pretty good. In comparison, (I’m a big fans of sambal matah) I think sambal matah in Amed way more juicy and tasty. And this sambal matah meets perfectly with the grilled chicken. I surely come back to try their signature dish within this week 😍😍😍 It’s just sad to see the place super quiet 💔 and hopefully the tourism around here is getting better. If you go this place, it might look abandon restaurant but is not. The restaurant area is on second floor with nice interior

Wow. First off, the food is exceptional. And I mean, exceptional. We both had the crispy duck salad and split a tropical fruit crepe with ice cream. But that wasn't the best part. Our server and now friend, Mono, made our evening/trip. We spoke for hours about life and our journies. He is only 23 but was so full of passion, positive energy and wisdom it changed us. I cannot speak highly enough of the experience we received and left feeling full of more than just food. It was a night to remember and we will never forget it. Thank you Crispy Duck House for making our stay in Amed that...
