Tasik Dumun — Hotel in Kecamatan Abang

This location is perfect! And there’s a rooftop with a table perfect for breakfast or sunrise. We actually changed our accommodation while in Amed to stay here, one because of the perfect location and two because of the tasty food and friendly owner. Best food I have eaten while traveling in Bali! You have to wait awhile for your food but definitely worth the wait as everything is cooked fresh so it is hot and made with so much care every meal. Wish I could have tried more of the menu. Grilled fish was fresh caught and cooked perfect, pineapple special fried rice was absolutely amazing, fish sate and also chicken were so delicious too. And we tried the fish spring rolls which were freshly made also. Best chicken sate by far and the fish one was so fresh and perfectly cooked too. The owner and her family are all so kind...

Small Warung directly on the beach. Fantastic view to Gunung Agung and Gunung Batur. The whole place is built out of concrete and decorated all over with big pebble stones from the beach. Everything is grey and black, didn't appeal my eye at all, yet gave it a try. They have a small rooftop terrace to enjoy the sunset, but there is only one table and the floor is, you guessed it, made from loose pebble stones which makes it uncomfortable to walk on.

Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Had a fish platter which was really tasty. One of the few fish filets I had in Indonesia, which was not totally overcooked or burnt on the grill.

Expect uncomfortable chairs and tables way too low, steep stairs without handrail and beer not really cold. Yet the food...

We stopped here after a walk from tuldes homestay into town for an hour or so before heading back along the beach. We found Tasik Dumun after stopping by a lot of other restaurants that didn't quite appeal to use.

You are waiting a little bit, but the wait is so worth it :D I've just started transitioning into eating fish again, and it was super fresh. I had the traditional fish in banana leaf roasted and BBQ'd while my partner had the ginger tuna.
