Waroeng mamasaga — Restaurant in Kecamatan Abang

The last night was a delightful end of the day with the delicisouse food and the wonderful balinese atmosphere of the waroeng.

Yesterday we went out for dinner and came along the waroeng mamasaga. While the night was arised the place was aluminated by the beautiful lights of the waroeng and the few plants and the open bamboo-hut gave a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The tables where clean and set ready for the next customers. We were welcomed with a friendly hallo and an invitation to sit down in english.

After a look in the menu we decided for the signature option: nasi ayam betutu (small portion) and a few springrolls. It was soooo tasty. All of it was freshly made, the springrolls had a nice crunch and a tastefull filling. The ayam betutu was a wonderful journey of the different spices and the perfect amount of hot. For people who love more spice there is also a homemade sambal, by my accomonies recommended. Also the ingredients where fresh, cooked perfectly and all of them had the right texture where moist. It was a pleasure to dug in. We really loved the signature in this recipe! 😀

The service was nice, inviting, spoke english really well so all order changes went well.

Wonderful new stoppover for a quick bite to eat on the way into Amed. Such quick and friendly service. Simple, delicious, well balanced and affordable! What more could one ask for. Came with a family of five for a late lunch and we were fully satisfied. We ordered extra veggies to go with the nasi betutu combo and the whole bill came to only Rp. 143.000 including 5 drinks. A big disapointment. Food was average, same as in any warung in Amed but for dubble price. No large beer, just a small one for the price of a large. No wifi, actually they adviced to use the wifi of a club on the other side of the road, because they knew the password. You have to pay exclusively in cash.
