When one of the customers asked whether they use something in a dish they served, the waiter said "no", then being asked again by other customer and he said "yes", then he got complained because of it. It is unclear wether it is a yes or a no. Then he decided to ask other person about it and it ended up with a yes, they used the "thing" that was asked. This is really dangerous for certain customers, because they might not be able to eat it due to allergy, religion reason and other things. This can't be accepted by me because I do appreciate other people conditions. The other customers decided not to eat the dish, even though there were other dishes that being ordered, the customers decided not to eat them all due the cloudiness from that waiter. Those customers ended up not eating anything while other customers on the same table eating the dishes. It ended up with an awkwardness between them. This is not a good time for it I think because it could easily help the covid-19 to easily fly between people because the food could easily be touched and I believe many people wouldn't want that. Probably better if they change the system for now because of the condition right now. Again for me, the food is not really special, but other people...

We ordered Ayam Geprek Koro Pedas, which was excellent—the chicken came out crispy and the sambal was spot on. We also tried Plecing Ayam Kampung, which was flavorful and paired nicely with the Plecing Kangkung. Another side we had was Tempe with Sambal, which was okay-ish, nothing too special. But then came dessert—Cucur! It was absolutely amazing. A little oily, but that’s probably what made it even more indulgent and tasty.
All in all, I’d say Srengenge Wetan is definitely recommended if you want to enjoy local Banyuwangi cuisine in a more proper...
