Stayed here on weekday, we arrive for early check in. Overall, it’s a pleasant experience. Highlighted with a very nice exterior and interior of the resort. Pros : The park is very nice. They have goose and pigeons. And even koi pond that you can buy the feeder. You can walk the park from the restaurant to zen garden. Not very crowded with non resort guest. (I think it’s weekday, public onsen is not open as well) There are bike that you can use for resort guest and ready to call golf car. Although it seems far, take a walk in the park or to your room is nice as well. It has chill atmosphere and quiet away from the city You also can rent yukata and take pictures with it. There is also standard yukata in each room that’s available to use. The most notable feat is the private onsen in each resort. It only run at 8PM till 10PM. They also have beers and room service run until 10PM. Breakfast is nice, they have tepannyaki, udon, miso and other food as well. But the sushi is not recommended. It tasted weird and very fusion The price for the room itself is ok. They have 2BR and 3BR room. Each room is 2 pax. Very ideal for family vacation with some activities for children as well. The internet is also good. They have flat screen tv with cable channel stations. Cons : We arrive at the afternoon, it’s surprising that there’s no AC in the room. They have some cooler but it’s not enough to cooling the room since it was quite hot in the afternoon. Suggested to get portable AC for each inn instead of fan cooler. The electric cord is lacking as well and placed in a not strategic area. The fan cooler cord is not that long as well. Suggested to provide some terminal cord in each inn to ease the access.
Another note : Hotel does not require deposit, hence if you order room service, you need to pay directly. They have EDC as well so no worries to bring cash. They also has good variety of room...
Read moreThe resort has everything to be the perfect vacation spot for people who want to experience a little of Japanese culture, especially the relaxing onsen. However, there are major issues I encountered during the visit that will ruin the experience.
Onsen The room onsen and the public onsen are beautiful and cozy. However, the water was barely warm, maybe only around 30 degrees celcius. It was found that the boiler was having issues and the water temperature is normally 41-42 degrees. If this issue is fixed, the experience will be improved drastically.
Food and the breakfast area The food is mediocre and does not offer many simple japanese options other than the miso/udon, teppanyaki, and subpar sushi rolls. Furthermore the are is filled with many flies that bothers the dining experience.
Despite the problems mentioned above, the place is generally clean and the bathroom is well-maintained. The room is cozy and the bed is comfortable. The lack of air conditioning is not an issue as the overall temperature is cozy and if it is still too hot, there is a portable fan provided. The wifi has decent speed and the room is spacious to hangout. Even though there is a slight criticism about the placement of electric sockets, overall it is a solid resort.
There are many entertainment available around the area which includes, ATV riding, yukata rental, fishing, cafe, and paragliding experience at the peak (outside of the resort, but you may book through the resort). Transportting is also amazing as we could utilize the golf cart (with the driver) to travel around the resort or carry luggages.
Overall it will be a major game-changer if only the 2 issues are managed. But, it is still a recommended place to stay for a...
Read moreThe Onsen Hot Spring Resort is immediately becomes one of my favorite hotel / resort when I stay at Batu, Malang.
The first thing I notice is that this hotel location is very good, not too close to the city, mostly surrounded by villas, the result is this hotel is not noisy and very quiet.
Hotel service is also very good, when I visit this hotel I got a cottage named Okinawa, which is a little bit far from the hotel lobby. But they provide a small golf car that can take us to the cottage, so we don't have to walk. You can also call the golf car to pick you up from cottage to lobby or parking lot too.
There is also a restaurant if tou want to have a lunch or dinner, they have Teppanyaki food corner at night but you need to reserve first, because there is limited person they can accept for the Teppanyaki. I had lunch when I arrived here and it was delicious. At morning the restaurant will be used to serve breakfast.
The best part would be the onsen itself, they have public onsen that you can visit at morning around 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Each of this hotel cottage also have small private onsen too if you want more privacy, but this cottage onsen will be available at night around 8:00 PM. You can ask room service for clothes that can be used for onsen.
Other than the onsen, you can also rent a set of yukata that you can wear for one hour. You can go to this hotel Japanese style park to take couple picture of yourself wearing yukata.
Overall, I love this kind of hotel. The place is so quiet and not noisy, hotel service is good and responsive, the foods are delicious, and a private onsen inside each cottage is very good if you don't like the...
