"A Delectable Journey to the Heart of Indonesian Cuisine, fine dinning at Rasanusa"
Located in the bustling heart of East Java, Rasanusa is a true culinary delight that offers an authentic taste of Indonesian fare. Tucked away on Jl. Trunojoyo No.47, the restaurant oozes an inviting charm that promises, and delivers, an unforgettable dining experience.
The ambiance is quaint yet vibrant, encapsulating the essence of Indonesian culture with an air of warm hospitality that makes you feel immediately welcomed. Its design seamlessly blends traditional aesthetics with modern convenience, creating a relaxing atmosphere perfect for a casual meal or a special gathering.
The menu is a delightful exploration of Indonesian cuisine, where each dish tells a story of the country's rich culinary heritage. The flavors are robust and genuine, with every meal striking a balance between the familiar and the intriguingly new.
What stood out during my visit was the attentive service. The staff was efficient, cordial, and clearly passionate about their work, adding a personalized touch to the entire dining experience. Their knowledge about the menu was impressive and their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing the overall gastronomic journey.
However, the restaurant does have room for improvement when it comes to lighting. A bit more tempering would accentuate the beautiful interior decor.
One cannot end this review without mentioning the exceptional cleanliness maintained throughout the premises. It reflects the high standards of hygiene Rasanusa adheres to, creating a safe and comfortable dining environment.
In conclusion, Rasanusa goes above and beyond to offer a delightful and authentic Indonesian dining experience. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the country's culinary treasures in a cozy, welcoming setting. Despite the minor issue with lighting, this charming cafe/restaurant delivers in all other aspects, making it a Batu city gem that is not...
Read moreI genuinely think that Rasanusa successfully delivered an elevated experience on eating Indonesian food.
I tried their tasting menu and safe to say all of them was beautifully cooked towards a pretty high standard. They managed to make me eat something i don’t usually eat (fish and ronde) with such a joy and blessed feelings afterwards.
I really recommend the Ikan Blimbing. As a person who doesn’t eat fish, this one gets my approval. The fish was seared beautifully and complimented with an intense yet smooth broth. You guys really make me love fish thanks to that dish.
Another dish to recommend is Krengsengan. The sauce was out of this world with a touch of caramelized taste. It reminds of this dish i ate at a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Barcelona, a very high praise i say.
Something to improve probably on the carb of choice. It was a bit of a miss i say. I really think they should do like roasted or fried potatoes instead of mash potatoes, just to balance the texture. Also i wish to had more sauce on my Ayam Tuturaga.
But man, their take on a mundane food like Ronde was so creative and thoughtful. Good job!
Overall, it was a great experience. The service was excellent. Tho at the time, it was just me and my sister ate there. So i’m not sure on how would it be if it’s on peak hour. Nevertheless, i highly recommend the place if you’re in Batu and want to taste some creatively elevated Indonesian dishes. Kudos...
Read moreVIP is not a room just a couple of flights up at a corner. It’s good for 6. Reservation for more than 3 people must come with down payment. Highly recommend reservation because it’s full even on weeknights. This place is a great experience for Indonesian food but with fine dining settings. Unlike most Indonesian restaurants there is no TV set but soft jazz with enough light to read the menu, very good ambiance. Price is very reasonable. We ordered set menus which cost 199k for chicken and 267k for beef (Australian). I ❤️ everything except the ravioli, skin is too thick. The ayam rujak is boneless and very tender, feels like it melts in my mouth. The chili that comes with the ayam rujak is very different from Indonesian sambal, it’s not spicy and smells great. I ❤️❤️❤️ ikan colo2 which is not in the set menu. The fish is so fresh and it’s boneless so you need not worry. I think jeruk granita would taste better if they use ice shaves like bingsu or sherbet instead of ice that clumps together. I ❤️❤️❤️ toraja coffee dessert. Don’t be fooled thinking it’s a drink because a coffee cake made of granola is hidden under all the foam. Sitting on the saucer is a coffee bean shaped cookie. Kopyor kebumen is rather sweet to my taste. They gave us compliments: es doger & angsle which again are kinda sweet...
