As we travelled for 6 months in Southeast Asia, we decided to end our last 2 weeks in Bali. While reading the good reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to call, to reserve a room. Glad that HBH had rooms available. We enjoyed our stay and felt hankful for their great hospitality.||||We arrived at 2PM and Jolanda gave us an introduction of HBH, which made us feel home on short term. We had a great room with airco and we enjoyed the relaxing view on Jimbaran beach. In the open kitchen area we spend hours in the evening, having nice conversations with other guests.||||Their breakfast is amazing. Brown cornbread with cheese, which I've missed for so long. Also small cupes filled with chocolate paste, pandang paste (yummm!), and on Sunday Jade, their young daughter, was making pancakes with a flavour of her care, excitement and entousiasme.||||Marcello is a good host. He gave us plenty of useful tips, about where to go, fine restaurants, shops and many practical information. It was good to talk with him, he is warmful, respectful and smart.||||The rooms, public area, swimming pools etc. were very clean. All rooms are decorated with fine arts, flower leafs and it all makes you feel at ease.||||We had a cooking class at HBH. Amy is also the driver of HBH. She explained how to prepare a good Balinese rice menu with different dishes of vegetables, meat, fish and some good deserts.||||HBH is located at Jimbaran Hills. You should hire their scooter, so it will be easy to travel to Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, etc. as it is all easy to find and Marcello can inform you in advance how to navigate.||||The environment of HBH is quit, and all is scooter or car distance away.||||We had the time of our lives at HBH and two weeks went fast whilr having fun. For sure we will stay at Home Bali Home if we are in Bali again one day.||||We wish Jade, Jolanda and Marcello all the best. And we would like to thank them again for their great hospitality....
Read moreThe host, Marcello is one of the best ever, friendly and really hospitable. We arranged for an airport transfer and he waited for us patiently although we were a little late. He also has lots of recommendations for you if you don't know where to go. A friend and I shared the Asian Suite and the suite is stunning. It can be a little sunny in the morning if you don't roll down the bamboo shades but at night, lying down in the bathtub while enjoying the view can be really calming. ||||Besides that, the attendants are also very helpful. There are 2 of them and a security person. Every time we need to leave the villa, they would help us to call a taxi. Making our trips out fuss free. And also, they clean our suite daily so we always get back to a clean room. They can also call a masseuse in if you need a massage. Didn't get to try that though as our itinerary was packed. ||||Their pool was without chlorine which I like! Chlorine always make my hair very dry and frizzy. Each morning, the attendants will serve us egg (you can choose how you like it to be done), brown bread which is baked daily with an assortment of spreads, mixed fruits juice and coffee/tea. Marcello also got us some local breakfast on the second day as we prefer to eat local. Marcello also helped and brought us to our next accommodation and even contact the person for us since we only bought the SIM card with data. All thanks to him, we had a smooth journey. We had an awesome time staying in his villa and you...
Read moreWe're a couple traveling for five months and Bali was our last stop before heading back home. Because we needed time to relax, we decided to stay at this nice and secluded place near Jimbaran. We had an excellent time at HBH and even prolonged our stay from three nights to five nights!||||We slept in the luxurious Asia room, filled with inspirational details. In Bali we stayed in other nice hotels as well, but designwise HBH was definately the winner. The room has a very nice view and you should keep the blinds open when you go to bed so you can wake up with a beautiful sunrise and possibly glimps of the biggest vulcano of Bali. An A/C was installed on our date of depature, but even with only a fan, we slept like babys.||||The owner Marcello was of great help providing tips for warungs, massages, and ideas for daytrips. He also organised a cooking workshop for us and another couple staying at HBH. This was a great day which resulted in our very own home-cooked rijstafel which we ate together with Marcello and his family.||||Typically we look for clean and cosy when staying at a hotel. We definately got what we came for and left for the airport feeling very relaxed. We would recommend HBH to everyone and hope to come back some...
