Bebek Goreng Krispi for 105 K IDR++
Besides the excellent view, i am happy to report that this cafe does seem to break the adage that tourist-trap-adjacent cafes only serve bland and overpriced foods.
Now the duck itself isn't the best thing ever, but it is high quality as it does give you a crunchy enough skin considering just how juicy and tender the meat is. This is probably the most tender AND juiciest duck i have ever had, sadly i think they missed a chance to infuse a bit more complexity to its flavour profile. Perhaps it was on purpose as to let the high quality ingredient shine, as the hot sambal was rich, deep, and complex enough without burning your mouth or tummy. But i guess i may have a predilection towards deeper flavours.
The sauteed kangkung (water spinach) it came with was also a testament to how good their cook is, sadly the rice was just a bit too dry to really enjoy. Nevertheless, at 105 K++ for half a duck (as you can see the picture has two thighs in it) it really is worth it.
Now for those who like aglio olio, i would have to say that at 65 K++ theirs is also probably the best i have had in Indonesia. It was cooked through but still perfectly al dente - another testament to their cook's skill as most others in Indonesia tend to under or overcook their pasta. Subsequently, the really well infused oil is what elevated it above the rest - the oil was perfect in balancing its smoothness, spiciness, and garlickiness. I have to say that it is probably a bit spicier than what most others would make, but i thoroughly enjoyed its heat and just the amount of pepper and garlic pieces it came with.
As for drinks, their 30 K++ ice chocolate is definitely the most generous i have had in terms of thickness and the fact that it is at least a few grades better than the instant chocolate others would use at this price. However, the real winner imho is their Nenek Tua which is a blend of whiskey and kolesom (local cheap really virtually bottom-of-the-barrel "wine") topped with their homemade candy floss strands at 85 K++!!

Read moreIn January 2023, I had the opportunity to dine at Jendela Bali The Panoramic Resto, located within the Garuda Wisnu Kencana complex area. The experience was notably delightful, pairing stunning views with equally impressive cuisine.
My wife and I opted for the Nasi Bukit Jendela Bali and Club Sandwich. Both dishes were superb, but the Nasi Bukit stood out as a particularly memorable dish. Additionally, we received complimentary fruit for ordering the Nasi Bukit, a pleasant surprise that enhanced our dining experience. Furthermore, during our visit, they offered free flow drinks, a generous provision that added to the overall value.
When it comes to pricing, I found it to be quite reasonable, especially considering the prime location within a tourist area and the stunning panoramic views the restaurant provides. The ambiance coupled with the tasty food makes for a worthwhile dining experience.
As for the Halal status, it's important to note that I didn't observe a Halal sign or certificate at the restaurant. However, from my review of the menu, I didn't spot any pork dishes. While I did not see any alcohol on the menu during my visit, some reviews do mention that the restaurant serves beer. I'd suggest potential visitors to do their research or inquire directly with the staff if they have concerns about the Halal status of the restaurant.
In conclusion, Jendela Bali The Panoramic Resto offers a wonderful dining experience, with its combination of flavorful cuisine, reasonable pricing, and breathtaking views. Just remember to make inquiries about the Halal status if it's a concern for you. With this in mind, I would recommend a visit to this restaurant for a memorable culinary journey amidst the scenic...

This place located pretty far from the parking lot, if you walk it may take around 10 mnts.
To be honest I was sceptical with restaurant that was around some tourism place. Either their price consider expensive or the taste was horrible or both.
We seated outdoor with panoramic view, pretty hot at that moment but yet we still enjoy tho.
We ordered some fish with sambal matah, iga sapi kaki bukit, sop buntut bakar, soto ayam and 3 ginger ale and we found the food was consider good! The way the represent the food and the taste was equal. It just the sapi bakar and buntut bakar were overcooked till the meat got burnt nevertheless the rest was good.
The ground staff was pretty helpful and friendly, the price consider normal (but expensive in tax service) and not overpriced, but the cashier lady didn't tell us that every Rp 200.000 bill in this restaurant we could get 1 entrance ticket.
I didn't know such thing until my husband chase over me and talked to the cashier lady about it after he asked to other guy on other counter station (ya, this place like a bit complicated in giving such information)
The cashier lady said we only get 1 entrance ticket because our total bill was Rp 375.000 only (without tax and service) and my husband asked her to put 1 more ginger ale on the bill, since she herself didn't tell us that there's such information about ticket entrance. Sounded unfair right?
In the end we got 2 entrance tickets without buying extra ginger ale, and yea she gave her 😒 look but yet we still thanked her tho!
NOTE : Don't forget to ask your free entrance ticket once your food bill without tax is...
