-Upon first arriving our door did not lock properly. The lock at the bottom didn't go in to the ground causing the door to stay open whether locked or unlocked. We arrived late on Monday night and we wanted to rest but we had to get the door fixed which was a hassle for us. -From speaking to one of the workers, the beach is located 35 min drive from the hotel whereas online it says that it is only a 3min walk. -Not a good location A lot of fake reviews left on trip advisor and Google We received a free room upgrade as our room had a lot of mosquitos -Our deal included breakfast which I wish it didn't, the only good thing about it was the juice and coffee/tea, other than that there are ants all over the table, flys flying around everywhere (seriously there was a time where all the doors were open and I counted about 15 flies around right next to us and nothing was done about it. -The "restaurant" is an extremely tiny one with only 3 small tables that fit 2 people, there was a time where it was full and we couldn't sit inside and eat, they offered to bring it to the room then we came down later and there was a table free so we sat in. -Also if you'd like a nice wake up call there is a school right next door who are very loud and will wake you right up. -If you want to stay here make sure you look at Google maps first and see the location Pool is nice but a bit small and not very deep. The manager, John who I assumed was the owner but he said he wasn't, still think he is, when we asked him where to go to eat, he told us Jimbaran bay which is about a 5 min drive from the hotel, and wanted to charge us 50k each way. We used his driver on the way. It was our second day so we didn't know how much it should cost, John gave me his number so I could call him when we are done to send a worker to pick us up. When we finished I tried to call his number on WhatsApp around 10 times and got no answer, there was a taxi mafia in that area that wanted to rip us off but thankfully a bluebird taxi came out of nowhere and took us back by meter and it costed around 25k. So bluebird is the way to go. -We ordered room service and never again, the food was not fresh at all felt like it had been frozen for ages -Needless to say our week here consisted of sickness, diarrhea and unpleasantness. -Staff are really...
Read moreRESPONSE TO THE HOTEL RESPONSE: It’s crazy that you have to lie instead of acknowledging your mistake. There were no letter in our room. You even came with me to the room to check with your own eyes so please don’t lie. You are not honest.
The room we got looked nothing like the photos. It was old, the bathroom was worn down, and basic things were missing — no towels, no utensils, no kitchen tools. We had to ask for everything. Then the room smelled awful (probably from the AC), and the fridge made loud noises all night, waking us up.
When I tried to explain this to the manager, he didn’t listen and just said, “I’ll upgrade you.” We were moved to a different hotel, not even in the same place. It was nicer, but didn’t have the kitchen we needed for Nyepi Day (Bali’s day of silence). The manager said we could use the hotel’s kitchen.
When we went to cook, the kitchen was filthy. Staff apologized and cleaned it, but we had to clean it again ourselves before using it. We cooked lunch, cleaned everything, then came back at 8pm to cook dinner — and the kitchen was a total mess again. On top of that, the staff had taken our vegetables. Not cool when everything is closed on Nyepi.
We cleaned for 30 mins, started cooking, and then the manager called yelling at us, accusing us of “disrespecting Nyepi” and threatening that the police would come. He didn’t let me speak. After yelling for 5 minutes, he suddenly said, “OK no problem,” and hung up. It was very stressful.
The next day I tried to calmly explain how upsetting it was. He blew up again, saying we had no respect. He claimed there was a letter in our room saying the kitchen closed at 7pm — there wasn’t. He printed one in front of me to pretend it existed. When I showed him photos of the dirty kitchen, he refused to look.
This manager is aggressive, dishonest, and has no place in hospitality. Worst hotel experience we’ve had in Bali....
Read moreWe booked this hotel the night before departure, but it was a disappointing experience due to the hotel’s poor condition.
First, the hotel lacks a proper reception area and lobby. The space for unloading luggage is very limited, located on a narrow road.
That wasn’t the worst part. Upon settling into our room around 8 PM, we were shocked to discover there was no water supply in the shower or basin. When we contacted reception, we were told the water would start flowing after leaving the tap on for 10 minutes. In reality, it took over 15 minutes for the first flow of water. The water pressure was weak, and it wasn’t even lukewarm. We requested a room change but were informed that the water situation was the same in every room. This was far from the standard we expected, especially from a hotel rated 4 stars and located near the city center. I’ve never encountered such issues at hotels in Bali throughout my stay , even in remote or island areas.
Additional issues we faced:
The “double bed” was actually two single beds pushed together, leaving an uncomfortable gap in the middle—hardly ideal for couples. The bedsheets had stains. The floor was mouldy with old, damaged tiles. The walls were stained. Green lighting on the ceiling leaving a spooky atmosphere. The washroom also had old, outdated tiles.
The only positive note was the hotel’s proximity to the airport, just a 15–20 minute drive. Other than this, I would strongly advise caution before...
