The food did not look inviting compared to the menu and was average in quality and taste, which is why the prices, in my opinion, are not justified compared to other sushi restaurants in Bali. For that, there are a maximum of 3 stars. However, the reason why I only give 1 star in the overall rating is as follows: I ordered the food (go-jek) after noon at 1:45 pm and they still took over 100 minutes for preparation, and it took another 10 minutes until it arrived. The estimated time was a maximum of 65 minutes, including delivery. Because we had another appointment and were in a hurry, we called the restaurant directly after about 70 minutes, but the employee simply hung up after a brief explanation. And on the second attempt, no one answered anymore. At the 100th minute, my patience completely ran out, so I called the Gojek driver who had already been waiting at the restaurant for over 30 minutes and asked him to find an employee with whom I could speak. Unfortunately, he didn't speak English well and my Bahasa is not the best either, so communication was difficult. Suddenly, the food was ready for the driver, but still no one explained to me why it took so long. This poor service and average food deserve no more...
Read moreI've always enjoyed the sashimi here! Especially good on the double points day once a month (20th) for members 😊. The only downside for me is they used to offer Japanese beers....but for some time now, they don't. I do miss that all-inclusive atmosphere of the past.....
In response to the one the restaurant gave me, I've kept the 5 star overall review, but, boy, what an illogical and narrow-minded response! Do they understand the meaning of the word "inclusive"? If they truly wanted to be more inclusive, they would offer alcoholic beers. I have many Muslim friends, and my mother-in-law is Muslim...they have no problem whatsoever, not drinking alcohol when I am, or when we are in an environment that serves alcohol. Furthermore, in Singapore, a multi-racial society, Sushi Tei has no problem serving beers, etc. Furthermore, this is supposed to be a Japanese restaurant (the clue's in the name!) and therefore should serve sake and beer as these drinks complement the cuisine. It's like going to a french restaurant and no wine is being served. The management's response here is, in my view, very disappointingly narrow-minded, one-sided, backwards looking and sadly pure poppycock to me.....but hey, the...
